Shake vga cable at different places & observe.........if colours becomes normal or it comes & again it goes...then vga cable is deffective.......either you have to change full vga cable or you have to repair that cable itself................after shaking cable also if no improvement then......hit your monitor lightly on left side or righr side or on top & observe ...........if colours becomes normal or it comes & again it goes...then following is the situation...............after 4 or 5 yrs in some monitors on main board at some soldering joints crack develops....then due to loose contact colour problem comes (1 of the sympton) ...........when we hit that lightly then those loose contacts joins temporarly & again colour comes nomally for some time............so solution is ......monitor main board & crt circuit board should be observed carefully & most of the joints should be re-soldered.......only a good service engineer can do that........even after hitting monitor lightly if there is no improvement then..following is the situation.....................on CRT circuit board ( circuit board that is fixed to tube) ''red green blue'' - video output IC ( some thing like LM2469TA ) will be there - it should be replaced - usually it will be fixed to heat sink ------- before changing IC all the components on CRT circuit board should be checked ( after switching off monitor ).........this problem cannot be solved by user unless user has idea about components( resisitors, transisitors, diodes,...etc) , have soldering iron , multimeter & other tools....................so contact good monitor service engineer .............iam from bangalore - 09986222774 - sathyavijayasarathibabu@ymail.com ( computers, laptop, printers, etc )

Picture shows 3 colors on everything.example.if there's a hand.there's 3 hands and each is a different color Blue .red.green

There are actually 3 projectors inside, each handling one of those three colors which, together, make all the other colors. This is called "out of register" where they are aiming slightly differently. These need to be adjusted.

Connecting DVD Players

Connections that have yellow, red and white are called "composite" in that all the video/chroma are on yellow and red and white are just audio.

The unit you are talking about may not have this---the other form is called "component" and is completely different--green has video and red and blue also---two more wires which are the red and white are audio---5 connections for component and 3 for composite---the two hookups are completely different.

If your set does not have composite and your Dvd does not have Component you need either a set with it or a DVD with it.
Both must match

Compag laptop connected to LG HD TV. TV screen just show blues and greens, no reds. What do I need to do

To troubleshoot this, you must first start with the obvious. Check your cable connections/try replacing the cable. If this does not work you should then check the color settings in the tv. If that still does not work you can try connecting your laptop to a different monitor/tv. If the color shows up with the same problem, you know the issue is contained within the computer itself. Possibly bad VGA/HDMI Port or color management settings.

When i turn it to tv it has color but when i turn it to my wii it shows no color just black and white and YES i have a color tv !!!! help !!!!

This problem typical indicates that there is an issue with the connection from the Wii to the TV. This problem can result from a few different situations. The most common cause comes about when the ends of the RCA or Composite cable are connected incorrectly. Both cables are color coded so make sure there plugged into there corresponding inputs (Blue and green can look very similar in low light). Another common problem is when the RCA cable is incorrectly connected to a composet cables set up inputs. If the wire your using has the colors white, red, and yellow than it's an RCA. If the wire has red, green, and blue than it's composite. Composite cables are used for HD TV's. If you do not have the correct cable for your TV one can be purchased at target or any similar store.

I hope the info listed above has helped in some way.
If possible please rate this solution.

Clear but only blue/green color

Do you have a component cable hooked up to the TV? (cable with RCA connections Green/Blue/Red/White/Red)

If so you want to check that the red cable is tightly connected to both ends (TV and whatever it is connected to).

Good Luck...

No sound on play back using camcorder on technika tv

Looks like you are using Component cables. There are five cables. The first three cables are Green,Blue and Red. These are the ones that are molded next to each other and are the Video signal cables. The other two cables are Red and White and they are the audio cables.
First to correctly hook up these cables you need to Connect (Match) Color for Color. (Green to Green, Blue to Blue, and Red to Red. To tell if you have correctly connected the Video cables is to look at the screen. If the picture looks ok (Normal with no colors missing then you have connected the video cables correctly). If you see a missing color meaning red, then switch the Red cables. The picture should be ok now. The remaining two cables are the Red and White cables. The "Red cable" is for the "Right" audio input and the "White" cable is for the "Left" audio Input". If all is connected correctly then you should have a good picture and Left and Right audio.

Picture is Gray, does not show any color

Are you using component cables (red/green/blue)? Check your connections to see that they are all seated properly. When using component cables, if only the green is plugged in, it will give you a black and white picture. You will get color once you plug in the red and blue.

What kind of sources are you using? what kind of cables are you using? Need these kinds of specifics to ehlp you out.
