Try resetting it again.
After that, unplug the power cord and disconnect the printer from the computer. Once everything is unplugged, press the power button and hold it for 10 seconds to remove any remaining charge in the computer.
Then reset it one more time. Turn it back on but do not connect it to the computer yet.
Also make sure that the cartridges are already replaced before resetting it.

An Error Message Is Displayed on the LCD (MP220 series)
The FINE Cartridge may not be installed properly, or the Cartridge may not be compatible with this machine. Open the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) and install the appropriate FINE Cartridge.
If the error is not resolved, the FINE Cartridge may be damaged. Contact your Canon Service representative.
