Question about Toshiba Satellite P205-S6287 Notebook PC
I just had a computer built with three LiteON DVD writers, two iHAS120 SATA drives and one DH-20A4P-08 IDE drive. The IDE drive works as it should. The SATA drives will not burn to a DVD-R format. I have tried several brand disk. I have updated the firmware. On line chats with LiteOn Tech support have not produced a solution.
I had once a problem with slow burning then data was corrupt. it turned otu to be a bug in xp and sata/ ide relation to eachother.
i had to unplug all devices except hd to boot. saw no drives. and rebooted 1 drive added at a time and it saw the dvdr properly and burned. its a longshot but maybe you got an ide hd ? or raid is enabled ?
thsi is a strange problem. try 1 drive at a time

Well, for one thing, your system is faster then mine. AMD Athlon X2 4000+ 2.10 GHz, 2GB, BIOSTAR A770 A2+ 160GB SATA. Anyway, what sata port did you install these DVD-Burners to. I know it shouldn't matter, but humor me for a minute. I have mine on the last two normally. Seems to work fine. Try it and see.
Let me know
