Get a Multimedia card reader for yourself. Plugin in the card reader in computer and insert the SD card in it. Once you see the SD Card in My computer that means your card reader is able to read the SD card that you have inserted. You can right click on the icon and click format. Do a quick format and choose file system as FAT32.
You can use SD Card Formatter and can follow their manual. I think that will also work for you.
Since cellphones have limited access in checking the memory card. Try to insert you memory card to a laptop that has acard reader slot and see if you are getting the same thing if you insert it to laptop. In most cases, these files become hidden if the card is infected by a virus. Check the folder of options of the compuer and click show hidden files and folders and click OK. You should be seeing now the files or folders of the card. If it fils are not showing then there might not be no files at all inside the card. Check the properties of the card. If you have the full capacity available on the card then it clearly says that there is no files in your memory card.
check your memory reader is reading properly your MICROSD Card, or maybe you inserted your memory card without reformatting first on your cell, this will have a problem. To make sure that you get the file pictures on your memory card, run your cell on the computer and copy all the pictures inside then reformat your memory card. Good luck!
Are you using a card reader? If yes, you need to isolate the problem. Please follow the steps below:
1. Try connecting your memory card reader into different USB port of the computer. 2. Try using different card reader to see if there's a problem with the card or with the reader. 3. Connect it into different computer. 4. Remove and reinsert the MicroSD in the card reader and make sure that the card is properly seated. 5. If the card reader and the computer are working but still unable to detect the MicroSD, try to reformat the card. 6. If same problem persist, return it to the store and have it replaced.
