Panasonic DMR-HS2. Why doesn't DVD tray open or close and why is there no audio/video output?

Tray movement failure can result from a weakness in electrical or mechanical components.

I got a new tv and dvd player and all the wires were pulled out and now i do not know how to reconnect it...

Basically all analog audio inputs and outputs are complementary of each other, such as audio output mates with audio input or viceversa. Video output mates with video input. You typically should have a composite video connector on your both DVD and TV set. Reconnect them directly. As you can imagine, DVD audio and video outputs should go to audio and video inputs of your TV receiver. Good luck.

    How to convert a videos

Launch your video converter program if you have one.

If you do not have a video converter program, consider free programs such as AVC Video Converter

    Prism Video Converter

These programs are cross-platform applications, compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.

Click "Add Files" or "Add Video," depending on the program that you are using.

Locate the video file you want to convert from the folder you saved it in, then click "Open" to import it to the video converter program.

Play your video on the monitor to ensure that it is the video that you want to convert.

Select the video format you want to convert your video to in the "Output format" or "Profile" window.

Choose from a number of video formats, such as MP4, AVI, MOV or WMV. Different models of MP3 players use different video formats, so refer to your MP3 player's documentation for the compatible format.

Select the output video size you want to use. Video sizes vary with different MP3 players. Some MP3 players support 320x240, while others support 640x480.

Refer to your MP3 player's documentation for the supported video size.

Select the audio codec that you want to use for your output video file.

Some of the most common audio formats include MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV.

Audio codecs compress audio with different output quality settings, so refer to your MP3 player's documentation for the supported audio codec.

Select 2 or "Stereo" in the channels box for a balanced left and right audio output.

Click "Browse" and select the folder where you want to save the output video.

Select a folder or location that you will be able to remember and access quickly.

Click "Convert/Encode" to begin the video conversion process.

A status bar displays the progress of the conversion.

When the process is finished, your video is in the format that you selected

    hope this helps

My iPhone plays videos on the Internet but no sound comes out, why Is that???

If your having problems with no audio from youtube, myspace and flash video. I suggest this

When watching web pages with embedded Flash video or animation such as movie or video clip on YouTube and MySpace using Mac OS X, users may hear no sound. The no sound audio output problem happens despite video playback is fine, and the issue can happen on any web browser, i.e. Safari and Mozilla Firefox. Strange thing is that, when using other applications such as RealPlayer, QuickTime Player and VLC Player, the sound is played properly. And no audio output issue does not affect embedded QuickTime including HD contents on the web.

Apple Mac OS X support site explains that the no audio from certain multimedia content issue is caused by some audio applications that change the computer's audio settings to a sample rate that is too high for other applications to use. The notorious programs include certain versions of Real Player, VLC Player and Audacity.
The solution to solve the Internet movie no sound or audio output is to reset the audio setting in Mac OS X to original configuration:
    1. Open "Audio MIDI Setup" (/Applications/Utilities/), then check the "Audio Output" setting.
    2. Change the "Audio Output" setting to 44100.0 Hz.
    3. Quit Audio MIDI Setup.
If the Audio Output setting is grayed out or disabled, go to "Properties For" tab in Audio MIDI Setup, and select "Built in Output".

    I hope this helps
