It's possible that the head unit's USB port or the wireless phone charger is no longer functioning properly. You can try the following to troubleshoot the issue:
Disconnect the wireless phone charger and test the USB port by connecting a different device. If the other device doesn't charge, the USB port may be faulty.
If the USB port is working, try a different wireless phone charger. If it still doesn't work, the issue could be with the wireless phone charger.
Check the car's fuse box for a blown fuse related to the head unit.
If all else fails, contact Pioneer or a professional car audio installer for further assistance.
It could be a problem with the female usb port on your phone. Try shining a light inside where you plug it in and see if there is anything there. Here are a few phones with the female ports where you plug in your charger.
Use something like a toothpick to clean out inside there. If you use something too hard, it can damage the inside of the port.
If there is nothing in there, it could be the cord. Have you tried multiple cords and cubes (wall adapters)? Here is the iPhone version, but really all that changes is the business end of the charging cord, so it still applies.
If you have tried multiple combinations of cords and wall adapters, then it might be that the charging port on your phone is broken and needs repairing. A sign of this being the case could be the cable being able to wiggle around too much when plugged into the phone.
If these other solutions do not work, you may need to replace the female micro/mini usb port in your phone, which could be above your skill set and you may need to hire a professional, or someone who knows their way around a soldering iron.
There are two things that can be wrong here. One is worse than the other.
It could just be that the charger cord has been bent and worn to where it has a break in the wire and can not get charge to your phone.
Or your phone might have something wrong with it's charger port.
You can go to a phone store and see if they have a charger for you to try so you can figure out if it is something wrong with your charger cord or your phone. If it is your charger cord that isn't working then you will simply have to replace it. If it is your phone that isn't working, then you might ask an electronics place if they can fix it or else you might have to replace your phone.

if the charger is good, then there is something wrong with the charging port or the battery.
If the battery is very flat before you charge, the charger would not be unable to wake the battery because the battery cell is weak. Its only a desktop charger that can wake the battery cell.
So, test your phone with another good battery, and if it still does not charge, then the charging port is bad as I said earlier.
If your iPhone is not charging when you plug it into a wall charger or into you computer's usb port, this is a usb connectivity issue and the connection just needs to be reset. All that needs to be done is plug the iPhone's cable into the phone but don't plug into the computer yet. Hold the phone's select button (the round button with the square) down for about 30 seconds or until the apple appears on the screen. your phone will reload and reset the connection and the computer should recognize the device. Allow the phone to charge for at least 30 minutes before unplugging.
Your charger is faulty. If your phone is able to charge off of other sources (computer, car charger, another wall charger) Then, the charger needs to be replaced. Some mobile companies have a 90 warranty on accessories like the charger and battery. Then the mobile manufacture (Motorola) has a 1 year warranty on the charge and battery. I would check on that, and get those replaced.
if your mp3 player comes with a usb charge cord and has no bulge in the cord, such as would contain some kind of voltage modification electronics, then it's ok. the reason is: both the motorola charger and the usb port are 5 volts, all usb is 5 volts standard, and the motorola charger is labeled 5 volts right on the unit itself. The the only possible problem would be if the motorola charger was wired differently. However I have been using my razor charger to charge my Emerson 2GB mp3 player w/no problem. Plug in the charger with the mp3 player powered up, you should see the battery icon filling up just as if you were using the usb charger. if you are still to worried to try it , then get a voltage meter and test the polarity (weather positive and negative are the same on the motorola charger as the usb cord when plugged into the computer.
Sorry to say, I encountered this same problem. I checked the prongs, used different power cords, different outlets, usb cord, and different batteries and yet still nothing worked. The only remedy to this situation is replacing the phone.
i cant charge my phone using a charger when i put the head phones in the same port, my phone does not pick up the signal BUT when i connect my phone to the pc using a usb cable, it charges fine and i can transfer data
