Question about Vizio VW46LFHDTV10A 46 in. LCD TV
The fluorescent tubes behind the LCD panel are going out. These are not ordinary fluorescent tubes, they are very skinny and have a single pin at each end (cold cathode fluorescent tubes, or CCFL for short). Replacing the tubes requires considerable soldering expertise because the ends cannot be heated for more than 3 seconds or so, and the finished connection must be small enough to slide the insulating cap back on over it.
The tubes are $24.99 each at LCDParts. You can learn more about replacing them at their Tech Support page. Probably the more difficult task is getting at the tubes; you may need to almost completely disassemble the TV to reach the LCD panel assembly. You can find the tubes by following the paired pink and white wires from the inverter board; each pair goes to one or two tubes. Do not remove the driver circuit board from the panel; you should be able to slide the tubes out the side of the set once you have the right pieces removed.
Note: LCDParts has some tubes pre-wired with new connectors for an extra $8 apiece. If you are not comfortable with the delicate soldering required, you may wish to inquire about this option - perhaps if you send them the old tubes with the wires attached they will salvage the wiring from them and put it on new tubes.

It is due its backlight problem. Check it. Check its inverter board. it is best to replace it with an other board of same type and number. Check the baclights also. OK.

I had similar problems on my LCD TV, then finally it would'nt power,
i had to replace two boards, for a cost of 6000 Indian rupees roughly 110 us $ ? now its fine and kicking, I faced it all double images, the greening of colours, the blanking out, but now its fine, all latest and LCD TVs come with boards starting with the mother-board or main board which is quite expensive. Tv's are repairable at minimum cost but here there are gimmicks to sell new TV's which they say exchange for new ones (trade in ) they even buy a dead TV for Rs 1000 if you are willing to buy a new one for 25000+ a working LCD TV fetches Rs 2000 in exchange. BUT why..if you can repair and use. unless you have a complete LCD display gone. the boards for the LCD TVs and LED Tv's are the same. all Tv's sold in the market now are LED's
