I did all the solutions but my computer won't communicate with my Lexmark X5100 printer.

    hi

    what computer (model and type) are you communicating the printer with
    what is the OS of the computer ?
    what error are you experiencing ?
    what happens when linking the USB to the PC
    have youy checked the ower cord and USB cords, to ensure they are working properly ?
    have you tried linking the printer to another computer ?
    have you installed all the drivers , downloaded from Lexmark ?

I'm trying to install a Lexmark X5150 printer but I'm getting an error message.


Your Mac is an Intel-based computer (see About this Mac in Apple menu), but the software to setup the printer was produced a long time ago for Macs that had PowerPC processors. Lexmark X1190 problem communicating with computer


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

Cant lexmark x5100 to windows 7

You cant install the printer on a Windows7 Operating System platform because there are no support drivers for the same.Learn more on this Lexmark support site.

The printer will not communicate with my computer


With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install:
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the software asks for the printer connect it and continue

Deleting Printed Items


go to control panel, open the printer, open the lexmark x5100, select printer menu , then select cancel all documents, do this in offline postion.
also delete content of temp folder c:\windows\temp

Go to Lexmark support website and select download software. Search for your printer model and download the software needed to work with Vista.
