SOURCE: I have a Hunter (

First thing is make sure you have it set to the correct type light bulb you are using. It comes set for an CFL (Florissant Bulb) If you are using an Incandescent bulb then change it by way of a slide toggle switch inside the battery compartment. Also did you set the DIP codes on the transmitter and receiver exactly the same per the instructions? To manually turn the fan/light off you can always just turn the power off at the wall switch. One thing that might be the problem is how the fan is wired. It may be wired on 2 wall switches. One wall switch may be for the fan and the light may be on a 3 way wall switch system which will have a switch at 2 locations. You say it goes off all by itself which makes me think this is the case. Turn the light on and then look for a wall switch at 2 locations that control the power to that light. It is very common to wire a ceiling fan with the fan on a single switch and the light on a 3 way switch at 2 locations. I wire them this way all the time for connivence of the home owner.

Can I transfer video tapes onto CD's

A lot depends on what type of video tape you use and where do you want to play the DVDs (CDs are for audio recording only). If tape is compact VHS then you can buy a simple DVD Recorder VHS VCR combo player and transfer across easily provided you have the compact VHS cassette module.

For other type of video camera tapes you will have to try other methods like connect camera with tape to a DVD recorder and directly burn the DVDs. You can buy attachments and software for PC but I have found these very cumbersome to work with.

How to convert VCR to DVD

no easy way to do this unfortunately. You either need to connect your VCR to a DVD recorder and record it directly onto DVD or use a device such as this http://www.dx.com/p/easycap-usb-video-capture-adapter-5707 to connect your VCR to your computer and record it onto your computer that way.

If the entire VHS is full then you can easily transfer the VHS contents to the DVD. The video will play while it is recording onto the DVD, but you don't have to have it hooked up to any TV for it to record. Now if you don't know how long the VHS content is that you want to record to DVD, then you will have to hook up the player to a TV so that you can press stop when you reach the end of the content you want recorded. At least this is true in the way that I use to transfer VHS to DVD:

1) Turn on the unit
2) Insert VHS tape
3) Insert DVD-+R or DVD-+ RW
4) Using remote, press VCR
5)Using remote, press play then pause the tape where you want to start recording.
6)Using remote, press DVD
7) Using the remote, press DUBBING. The VHS should start to play and the DVD should start recording

When using this method, don't hit the RECORD button!

I hope this helps!

Connect DVD recorder to Video player/recorder- transfer VHStodisc

hook the video output from vcr to dvd input at rear, then hook output from dvd to tv input. note; you can not record protected vcr movies you can only record tv shows from sattelite to vcr or dvd recorder. its best to record straight from sattelite to dvd recorder for picture clarity.

You are in a tough spot cause you probably keep the VCR to transfer old Tapes. FYI, did you know that DVD's have a shelf life of less than 10 years and VCR VHS tapes are good for 20 years plus? Keep your old tapes.

Write RCA and find out if you can get a new remote, it is basically the only solution.

Check with Ebay for a used one, you might get lucky.

How to record from KS 4110 DVD payer to VCR

Connect your DVD player to your VCR ( the out put from the dvd player is connected to the input of the vcr) then connect your vcr to the tv( the output from the vcr is connected to the tv)

Set your tv to what ever channel you connected your vcr to and hit the tv/vcr button on your vcr remote until you get the vcr displayed on the tv.(ensure your vcr is on when doing that)

now when you get your vcr displayed on the tv , turn on your dvd player and set your vcr to what ever channel you got the dvd player connected to(e.g INPUT 1 etc)

you dvd player should now be visable on your tv

simply insert a blank vcr tape and play your dvd and hit record on your vcr

HELP! I can't figure out how to Connect my Sylvania DVD/VCR Combo to my older TV

Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder. You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
