Question about Brother Sewing Machines Brother XL-2230, I can't thread the bobbin! I watched video on U-tube and it's same steps I've used. Bobbin turns very slow

Winding the bobbin:
be sure the thread goes clockwise all around the bobbin tension. It will cross itself before it heads toward the bobbin winder mechanism.
Brother XL 2230 Operation Manual Threading The Machine Winding The Bobbin

Place the bobbin into the bobbin holder so the thread will unwind counter-clockwise. Push the bobbin down. Pull the thread toward the front of machine (toward you, into the slit and then doubleback to the left through the tunnel and then through the opening.

I have a brother CS-8072 sewing machine and need help winding bobbin. I followed the instructions in the manual but it didn't work.

What were the results of your bobbin-winding attempt?

Make sure the thread path is correct for bobbin winding and that the thread is seated in the tensioner. Most machines, it is better to NOT wind fast--although your machine says the opposite (???).

It looks like your thread comes off the spool goes to the left, through a guide, down to the front of the tensioner and the doubles back to go behind the tensioner before going to the bobbin. (Looks the thread goes counter-clockwise in front of the tensioner, then doubles back and goes clockwise around the back of the tensioner.)

Also, the problem may have to do with the spool type you are using. Try a different thread and spool--AVOID old or bargain bin threads.

If you still have problems, there is a stand-alone bobbin winder (called Sidewinder) for about $30 that is helpful to have. (Verify it will work with your machine's bobbins!) It is great because you can wind bobbins without unthreading your machine and it saves wear and tear on your machine.

Stitch length for Brother TZ1 B651 zig zag sewing machine

I wish that I would be more helpful but here's what I can tell you. Digital programs offer the "format" to use. It will give a choice of millimeters or inches. You can also change the format choice after you have started your project.

Bobbin winder does not wind evenly. how do i fix this problem

Slow down when you are winding the bobbin. You are going too fast and it will always be uneven when you do that.

I actually have a Brother XR40 sewing machine (not XR35). I get a nice stitch on the bobbin side of the material, but not the top. The top is more like a straight thread anchored down and not a nice...

check to see if the needle is bent-roll it on a flat surface & see if it rolls correctly
if the needle is warped it will make a popping sound when it goes thru the fabric
check to make sure the tension is correct
check to make sure the thread is not catching on anything

The pressure foot will not run the machine you have to push very hard the the machine goes very fast.

meed a little more info, make sure the pressure foot is in the down position,

what do you mean you have to push very hard, are you pushing on the fabric to fo under the needle,

if the presure foot is down, check the manual on how to adjust the pressure it may be to tight and need to loosen it
