I have a Model 106-74262400 refrigerator. About five days ago, I heard it make a pop sound followed by a clicking sound over the next four days. It finally stopped cooling in the refrigerator part, but...

i would start with the basics. the pop might have been the defroster heater and the clicking is the defrost timer kicking in. if the heater is not working the evaporator will freeze solid and the air can't flow through and so you don't get any cooling.

pls check the thermostate, and the setting,it may be narrow .you can get the same relay which you get with the unit.check the voltage near the socket.check for loose connection in the relay and compresor terminal and thermostate.

Not freezing or cooling and is clicking on and off

Your PTC relay is bad and needs to be replaced. That clicking sound you are hearing is the overload failing to hold and then clicks off.

First be sure to unplug frig. Remove the cardboard cover that covers most backs of the frig units. Remove the plastic cover that is on the side of compressor. It is held on with a metal clip. Now you should be able to see the relay pry the relay straight off. note the wiring and position of relay. Only three prongs on compressor. Go to a parts house for appliance's and with your make and model number should be able to get a new one. Let me know if you need any more help. ken

The refridgerator runs but does not cool or freeze anything. There is a clicking noise everytime it tries to cool.

sounds like the compressor has seized and the click is the relay starter to get it going. if it is running and getting very hot the likelyhood is that there is a refridgerant leak.

I have a Kenmorre model 61161 series, that does not freeze or cool

The cycling sound may be a bad compressor relay or a bad compressor.
Do you hear a click about every 2 minutes?
If so, replace the compressor start relay.

Kirland Refrigerator

It sounds like your compressor has failed. The hum is the compressor trying to start and the click following is the over current protector opening.
