Have you tried formatting the other cards you want to use with the camera first? Sometimes cameras can be weird like that and refuse to recognize another memory card until it's entirely empty and fresh.

Hi I cannot retrieve the photos from the internal memory - the ones on the sd card come onto mac straight away but not the ones on internal memory. Please help

Disconnect the camera, turn it off, remove the memory card, and then reconnect. Having the memory card inserted "hides" the internal memory.

My kodak camera keeps saying that the internal

The internal memory is small. Your camera will continue to write to it until you erase the pics from it. Here's how...Remove the memory card. Download any pics you want to save from the internal memory. Go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Insert your card. It should work properly now. Promise yourself to never use the internal memory again.

SD memory card not aknowledged,on start up goes to internal memory. when card is pushed up further says "this card is protected". does work after lots of manipulation of the card and constant turning on...

1. With the card out of the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen directions. 2. Download any pics you want to save from the card using a card reader. 3. Be sure the slide switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position. 4. Insert the card into the camera and follow the format procedure again.

Internal Memory is full

Your camera should automatically recognise when a memory card is inserted and store pictures on to that rather than use the internal memory. The internal memory is only used when no card is inserted so possibly there is a fault with the card connections if it does not recognise when it is inserted.
To clear the internal memory have a look at my post on my tips page on my profile dealing with this.

Camera will not format Memory Card. When I turn on the camera it states, Momory card requires formatting. When I try to format it says it is formatting but then goes straight back to the original message...

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Our C613 is not reading the memory card when it is turned on. It goes straight to built in memory which only holds 12 pictures. What do we need to do??

Pls. check that the "lever" on the memory card isn't set to black the reading of the card.

Go into Menu, Cam settings and AUTO or internal: Press OK for Internal.
NOTE if the cam. cannot read the card it will automaticly go over to internal memory.

    Good luck

Genius G-Shot HD55 (camera) - How to get SD card working??

For Genius G-Shot HD55 you need to insert the SDHC card deeper into the slot until it clicks closed, like opening a pen, then when you want to remove it press it again until it clicks to release, like closing a pen. Your card is recognised after the deep click insertion and restarting the camera.

    No memory card, set time

The date/time battery is "built in" (not replaceable) to this model according to page 13 in the manual (available here). It is supposed to recharge when you have the regular battery installed, but if you leave the regular battery out for more than "approximately three weeks", the internal battery may go flat.

I'm not sure this has anything to do with the memory card issue, though. Check the battery problem by inserting a freshly charged battery, turning on the camera and setting the correct date and time, then turning off the camera and waiting an hour or so (with the main battery still in the camera). Turn the camera back on, and if the date and time have to be reset again, your internal battery may be bad, and the camera would need to be serviced.

Camera wont work when memory card is inserted

I suggest you try to use a different memory card. If it doesn't happen again then it's probably a bad memory card.
