The grey ones I believe you are asking about are thinner than the black one, so when the black one is compressed when tightened, the grey ones just add a little support at each end. I'd leave them on, can't hurt.

Cleaned inside with compressed air and now we have white dots on screen

as you said you just only cleaned with air compressed and when you turn on then the white dots appear on the screen. so their is a possibility that the compressed air is the main reason of that problem, usually the effect is loose connection. check flexible cable going to Y and Z drive board it might be loose signal fix it. fix also other connectors good luck hope can help you.

Round grey dot appears in photos and on LCD screen

If the same dots are on the pictures and LCD, then the only thing it can be is either a dirty lens which needs cleaning or dirt got inside the lens assembly which would require either compressed air to clean or professional service.

Hello

OK, firstly, i will suggest that you take out the graphics card and give it a good clean. When the computer restarts during game-play, it is usually an overheating issue with the graphics card itself.

So, the thing is, if you take out the graphics card fro your PC, you will notice that there is a lot of dust on the cooling fan. Use compressed air to clean the fan unit. I would further suggest that you redo the thermal paste on the CPU of the card.

Furthermore, it can only be an driver issue, so, you will be able to download the latest driver for this specific unit at the web page below.

Yes, perhaps there's a problem with the graphics.

If you are using Integrated Graphics, try using a graphics card.
If you are using a graphics card, replace it with another one.

If I may;

1) GPU:
Graphics Processing Unit.

Essentially the graphics 'engine'.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPU

If the GPU is soldered directly to the motherboard, this is Integrated Graphics.
Another name for Integrated Graphics is Onboard graphics.
On the motherBoard.

If the GPU is mounted on a removable Printed Circuit Board, (PCB), it is a graphics card.

(Also known as Video Card, Graphics Adapter Card, and Video Adapter Card)

[ Some examples of GPU's;

A) Intel:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA

B) ATI:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_ATI_Graphics_Processing_Units

(AMD bought out ATI)

C) Nvidia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Nvidia_graphics_processing_units

Although you have not indicated hearing any BIOS Beep Codes, I would like you to humor me.

Remove all ram memory module/s, (Computer unplugged from power, Anti-Static Precautions observed), and clean the gold plated contact pins with a pencil eraser.

Remove the eraser dust with air, (Compressed air for computers, or air pressure from your mouth may be sufficient), then reinstall the ram memory module/s. ('Sticks')

When my desk top appears on screen, the screen suddenly goes blank it also happens in the middle of when i am conacted to the internet

How old is the monitor? Under warranty? If the monitor is an LCD unit and several years old, you might be looking at a new unit--does the screen go black or loose all data and turn blue or white? If it's going black, you can check to see if its the monitor or computer. Obtain a bright flashlight. Dim or turn off the lights in the room. Turn on the flashlight and place it extremely close to the screen (this will not work on a CRT monitor). If you do not see anything, then the video signal is not reaching the screen. However, if you do see a dim image in the display, there is a problem with the monitor. There are thin, very bright fluorescent tubes in LCD monitors. They provide the back-lighting for the display(the reason you get a bright, vivid picture ) and do have a finite lifespan. You might be able to find a repair shop that can replace these tubes but, be warned, the repair is involved and the price will probably rival a new monitor--with fresh warranty.
If the problem is the computer(desktop), the first thing I would do is remove the unit to the outside. Open up the side cover and give the entire inner case a good cleaning with compressed air--not over 30-40 psi. Large amounts of dust are sucked in by those cooling fans which are unfiltered. I clean my systems out about every 4-6 months. Heat builds up from lack of air flow around boards and can cause the problems you describe--especially if you have a high-performance graphics card with its own fan. (Be especially careful when cleaning this as the fan is delicate--hold it in place and gently but firmly puff air around it)---Hope I helped you!---Rick

Maybe it's a temperature related problem.Youll have to clean the Video Card and CPU heat sink (better with compressed air) :

>Disconect the computer.
>open it up
>carefully take the video card out, watch for screws and plastic lock at the AGP/PCI/PCI express slot.
>spray compressed air to clean the heatsink.
>attemp to take the cpu heatsink out too. if not possible just spray the air to the heatsink inside the computer.
>spray every slot and port with the compressed air
>reinstall vid card and CPU heatsink.
>accomodate al the cables to increase airflow
>check everything properly conected
>close everythinkg

Also I would replace the flat IDE cables with round cables to increase airflow.

If that is not helping, maybe its better to monitor your CPU, RAM and vid card temp.

Fan roller and grey fins clogged with dust and mould

You can clean Blower wheel one of two ways. !st would be to remove the wheel and clean with the garden hose or if that is not a option for you then you can buy a can of compressed air and clean it that way but you will get a blast of dust and dirt when unit turns on. Make sure unit and/or power is of when doing this. Keeping your filter mainteneced more often will reduce the build up more.
