Clothes do not dry fast on regular cycle

your clothes may not be drying fast on a cycle due to a build up of lint in your dryer this is a tip i wrote at this link click here http://www.fixya.com/support/r8732702-prolong_life_dryer by removing the rear shroud you should find quite a bit of lint build up in your unit. This is the area that the lint you are not able to remove packs in and stops the air from going through the blower which makes your unit produce very nice heat if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future thanks again I await if you have any further questions Rick

Possible blower fan failure, Or Blower fan blades are choked with lint, so no blow.
Your gonna need to open it up. If fan blades are choked, simply clean and vacuum them. Reassemble and test run.

If fan blades are clear, (minor lint-ing will not stop it working) then it indicates fan motor is bad.
Possibly a capacitor (motor starter) rather than motor. Usually a small cylindrical object with wires attached, located in close proximity with related motor. Check for swelling, leaking. if looks OK it's likely fine.

Capacitor is cheap to replace first. Must use SAME VALUES as original.

Dryer will run and heat up but will just stop after 10 minutes. any idea what would be wrong with it.

Could be a motor going bad.
Could be a bad control thermostat.
Could be a bad auto dry sensor.
Could be lint buildup around the motor and blower wheel causing the motor to overheat and shutoff.
Try a timed dry setting and see if it runs through the cycle.
If so, the auto dry sensor is bad.
If not,Could be lint.
Unplug the machine and remove the front panel and drum to check and clean lint around the motor and blower wheel.
If all these check out OK,replace the control thermostat.

Takes 3 cycles to dry clothes

This is a potentially deadly scenario. If the clothes are warm but just not getting dry, there is a problem with air flow - specifically - the lack thereof. The chance of fire is a real concern.

Make sure the lint baffle / trap is clear. This should be checked / cleared after each drying cycle. Most folks know about this, but I included it just in case this is your first dryer.

If the the baffle / trap looks clear, the exhaust tubing of the dryer is suspect. Many installations consist of the flexible / expandable hose. This hose may have become crushed during the running of the dryer, reducing air flow. Locate the hose and pull the dryer away from the wall to inspect, expand or replace the hose as needed. If an old installation, it is very possible that the hose has become clogged with lint build up over the years. The hose should be replaced in this case.

If at all possible, use aluminum expandable dryer duct. It is less likely to collect lint as quickly as the flex plastic style.

If the clothes are not warm or hot, the heat source (electric heating element or gas flame - depending on type) has a problem. Either of these problems should probably be referred to a pro for proper repair.

Slow to dry cloths

Remove the vent from the back of the dryer and see what the temps are. The cycling (or operating) thermostat is on the blower housing and opens more than 100* lower than the 266 you are reading. That, combined with the long dry times indicates an airflow issue. Check your lint screen....fabric sheet and lint can combine to coat and restrict air flow through it. Also check down in the blower housing with the lint screen removed. You'll see lint build up by looking down the slot with a flashlight. If it's restricted, so is the blower wheel and the blower housing. Also make sure the flap, or lovers at the vent hood outside are opening fully. Remove any accumilation of lint from there.

The high limit control is just that........If you cycling thermostat has failed, or does not open because there is no airflow, the limit control opens as a safety. On a normally operating dryer, the high limit control will never open.

The neptune dryer is designed to move more air than a regular dryer due to the higher capacity load it get's from the neptune washer. That is the case with most front load laundry pairs.

No heat during cycle

HI,

you can try this suggestion..

you do need a new motor.you need to take 2 screws out of top where lint filter goes. take top up and their will be 2 screws one on each side take screws out and pull upward and forward and the front panel will come off. you will need to remove belt and tub then you will see motor. you will need to be able to grab back side of motor that attaches to blower and front shaft of motor and turn opposite way to come loose from blower. you will then take back clip off and front clip and unplug motor and pull out. good luck hope instructions helped.

thanks,

Dryer goes with 3-4 cycles to dry load of clothes

unplug the dryer.
Open the top lid.
Remove the front panel.
Inspect the blower wheel attached to the motor.
If it moves on the motor shaft replace it.
If iy does not move on the motor shaft, clean the lint out of the exhaust from the blower wheel to the rear of the dryer.

GHW9100LW randomly stops during cycles, has a severe clicking noise

the water leaking back in may be due to a fill valve not fully shuting off allowing water to leak into washer after shut off...reclean pump ck as far as possible into pump itself something may be hung in impeller the shaking may be due to excess water in clothes causing off balance and shaking ..cleaning pump may solve problem..if possible pull pump completely out to clean ck pump impeller to be sure it has not come loose on motor shaft this would also cause slow or no pump out ..if impeller is loose replace pump..good luck
