There are a couple things you can try. First thing to do is make sure the battery is good and fully charged, or try another one, and make sure the charger is putting out a good voltage. Also, clean the battery terminals both on the battery and inside the camera (use a qtip and alcohol or a pencil eraser). A switch contact could be slightly oxidized, or the ribbon connector to the lcd could need resetting, but that would require servicing.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Just bought the Nikon S01 camera. Charged it completely, turned it on, completed setup, took a few pics. Then when I turned it off and back on, it says "Card is not formatted. Format card?" If I select...

Save the pictures you have taken to your computer, and then choose the Format Card option. You have to Format the Card to make your camera work. If this does not work, contact the Camera's company web site and ask them for advice

What batteries does the estes spy plane require for the camera?

Took a while, but I finally found out here:
http://www.smarthome.com/manuals/95621.pdf
that one of their planes takes button batteries that are specified on page 2. Should apply to all the cameras.
Good luck, and I hope this help!

My Camera turns on But will not take a picture, I push the button to take a picture and it doesnt do anything! I took the batteries out, charged batteries, took out the lens, took out the card, and put...

Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

A850 will not turn on

I had the same problem with mine, and it's the same camera. I took out the memory card and reinstalled the batteries that came with it. I've only had mine for a few days. And it turned on. I took a pic and turned it off, reinstalled the memory card and made sure it was formatted. Turned it back on and it worked.. took another pic and turned it off, took out the batteries. The batteries that came with my camera are Panasonic Alkaline for Digital. They are a heavier battery than the cheaper ones. So I would suggest using these batteries or make sure the batteries are for digital purposes.. hope this helps.

We had the same issue. After turning on, nothing on the view screen and the buttons didn't work. The camera could turn on, the turn on screen and sound happened and we cold turn off (show off screen and sound)...even after changing batteries. It was like that for a week.

I found it had to do with TV connector slot. Thinking back, my daughter had been playing with the TV connector right before it stopped working. I took a small hair pin and put it in the TV connector slot, lightly wiggled it and the camera sprung back to life. I'm guessing the camera hardware was acting like it was still plugged in...hence turning off the view screen.

Anyways, hope that helps someone.

AE-1 Didn't Take Pics

Possibly the film did not go through the camera. If it did, the problem may be the 2nd(or closing)curtain magnet on the bottom of the camera. When the magnet is working the closing curtain of the shutter is held back 1 to 1000 miliseconds-depending on the shutter speed selected by you. 1ms=1/1000 sec. 1000ms=1 sec. You can tell by 1. removing the lens 2.setting the shutter speed to the "B" setting 3. opening the film door and looking through the camera 4. releasing or firing the camera and keeping pressure on the release button. If the magnet is working, the shutter will stay open as long as the release button is kept pressed down. The closing curtain will close as soon as the release button is released. When the magnet fails, both curtains travel across the film plane together and no exposure is made. Sometimes there is corrosion on the magnet where the wires connect. Sometimes there is some foreign substance or object that interferes with the face of the metal unit that attaches to the magnet when the camera is wound. Sometimes the magnet just fails and needs to be replaced. If the magnet checks out OK the problem may be in the circuits that control the release of the magnet. If this is the problem, the camera needs to be looked at by a competent repair shop. Just so you know, new parts are getting hard to come by, but there are tons of used cameras around that parts can taken from. Hope this helps.

Optio 33LF LCD problem

This often indicates a card error. Transfer all your images then format the card in the camera. If you still have the problem, try a different card. If you still have the problem then looks like you will have to send it in for repair.
