Can not open windows....how to recover...? n i dont know how to solve this problem.... (vista - Dell Precision T3400)

  1. Boot from the Vista install disk
  2. Choose your language settings and click "Next"
  3. On the bottom of the screen click the link "Repair Your Computer"
  4. Select the Vista installation to repair and click "Next" and it will launch WinRE
    • The "Load Drivers" button will open a mini Windows Explorer, which can be used to search for drivers in case they are needed to access disk drives or other components. This mini Explorer is also very handy to perform file copy/move operations and change file-attributes.
The following options are available in WinRE: Startup Repair - It will repair the boot manager files and restore critical files required for booting Windows Vista.

This should solve basic bootup problems.
Or you could also do a Complete Repair which replaces your current Vista installation.

Blu-ray drivers for windows 7

Hi,

Windows 7 by default has blue-ray support so there is no use of the drivers. If you are playing a movie, then You need to install the codec’s for Blu-Ray. Your Blu-ray drive should have came with media containing the codec’s. You can also use your favorite search engine and search for free Blu-ray codec’s.
You can install Power DVD 9 which install a codec for Blu-ray drive.

Hope this helps you, please check out.

New year Regards.

Check your processor, hard disk, and memory / graphics
against this list.

Recommended minimum hardware requirements for Windows Vista loadTOCNode(2, 'summary'); The following list describes the recommended minimum hardware requirements for basic functionality of the different editions of Windows Vista. Actual hardware requirements will vary, depending on system configuration and on the programs and the features that you install. If you install Windows Vista over a network, additional hard disk space may be required. Windows Vista Home Basic
  • 800-megahertz (MHz) 32-bit (x86) processor or 800-MHz 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 512 megabytes (MB) of system memory
Note On system configurations that use system memory as graphics memory, at least 448 MB of system memory must be available to the operating system after some memory is allocated for graphics.
  • DirectX 9-class graphics card
  • 32 MB of graphics memory
  • 20-gigabyte (GB) hard disk that has 15 GB of free hard disk space
  • Internal or external DVD drive

Installing Windows XP in place of Vista in an Acer Extensa 5630

If you have an XP install disk from within the last 18 months you should not have any problems doing this. Be aware that you will probably void any software warranties you may be enjoying right now.

Vista downgrade to xp

no there aren't any drivers, but the problem you will have is that the bios is updated to suit Vista and installing XP will cause problems with components in the notebook.

My advice is to keep Vista if you havent already uninstalled the operating system, but you will notice that your hard disk has two partitions, install XP on the other partition and have a dual boot notebook, if you have uninstalled then lend a friends copy of Vista and use your own instalation product key code on the underside of your notebook and re install.
