Question about Daewoo DVDS151 DVD Player

Open Question

My Daewoo S151 has stopped responding when I turn it on - the green light on the front comes on, but it doesn't send a signal to the TV. It makes no noise to indicate it's actually on (no tray or lens movement), or it makes this loud, consistent clicking noise. I'm assuming it's a motor problem; I took the cover off to look at it and it looks like there's a gear that's not catching or something. There's no way to open the tray when it's like this because it's acting like it's not on, even though there's obviously power going to it, and it's working enough to make the dreadful clicking nose. Does anyone know how to fix this?

SOURCE: My Daewoo Lanos has a really loud noise in the

Wheel bearings are difficult to tell which of the four at times.
Be sure to be adviced by an old fox in the game. Cars are sound boxes. I had a car and it actually was the last bearing being the guilty one. Wheel and hub bearing is the same to me. And there are other bearings there. Better shop around for cost estimate and guarantee on repair. DIY can be more costly if no mechanic. You pay parts and go about with DIY risks you pay at all times.
And official dealers are not allways the best. Dry not moving plastic hub caps can make a lot of nasty noise at low speed in narrow streets or underground parkings. If you have those get them off clean tyre rims and caps and grease them slight with teflon spray or so. Refit. Cost virtually nothing. Also make up other items coming up fore replacement not to overinvest in old wrecker with corrosion or too high mileage. Maybe your's is fine but calculate ahead. Including totall loss value on accident.

Hello Jeff;
If the TV does not turn on or off, does not respond to the remote
control or the control panel buttons, or has audio but no video:
1.) Press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for ten seconds. The TV will turn off.
2.) Power on the TV and the green LED will flash quickly for about one minute. The changes you made most recently, before using SYSTEM RESET, may be lost.

If the TV does not respond to the remote control or to the control-panel buttons and TV will not power on or off.
• Unplug the AC power cord for 10 seconds.
• Press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10
seconds to perform a system reset.

If the TV turned itself off and the light on the front panel started to flash:
• Momentary power fluctuation can cause the TV to turn off to prevent damage. Wait for the green light to stop flashing and turn the TV on again.
• If the TV does not stay on, press the POWER button on the
control panel for ten seconds to perform a System Reset. If this happens frequently, obtain an AC line power conditioner/surge protector.
• An unusual digital signal may have been received, triggering a
protection circuit. Wait for the light to stop flashing and turn TV

If the TV will not power off, press the POWER button on the control panel for ten seconds to perform a System Reset.

Should you still have problems, call for assistance at 1(800) 332-2119

I would not recommend using compressed air or any other method that would blow dust around- since the dust could make its way into the set's circuitry via the grille or vents and cause problems. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment instead.

On my 2004 impala, the front right turn signal doesn't work, (only works with hazard lights). And the back right signal is fast. The signal "clicking" sound is non stop but on the other hand...

If the turn signal filament of the right front park/turn lamp is known to be OK and the hazard switch is in the normal position, the hazard switch or the turn signal/multi-function switch could be defective

The TV stopped responding to the remote control

tried with reset doesn't work, ok it could be the IR sensor at the front panel of the tv doesn't work. but before you replace it you need to ensure if your remote controller is working. have you tried to check the remote with camera trick just to know if the remote controller is sending light to the IR sensor of the tv.

You can send your main board to us and we can give it a try.

If it the front LED turns on for a while, then off for 1-2 seconds and then back on...we'll probably be able to help.

See for details and shipping instructions.

You can unplug the ABS, and it will be disabled. Doesn't sound like that's the problem, though. Have your front end checked, brakes, suspension, wheels, CV axles, everything. Before it cripples you on the road.

Hi, my Daewoo Plasma 42"

If the power light stays green then the current absorbed by the different boards appear to be normal. If that is the case then most likely you have a bad contact in the data cables or in the mainboard.
You will need to open the tv, inspect for damage and reseat all the components then (if that doesn't fixes it, you will need to extract the mainboard and check the soldering on the board and the status of the processor.
