If you have deleted the Win7 partition then you will require a Win7 disc to start up and repair the system with.
Win XP will not run on this type of machine as there are no drivers for the VGA or main board.

Hi. Asus has a great utility that lets you update your bios even in Windows.

http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=EIDxaW1Ln3YR9RA2

At the download section select your OS and in Utility section find "ASUS Update V7.14.01 Install Program" This program will automatically update your bios.

As for your Ram issue. Did you try each stick in each ram slots ? If you did and saw no issues, then I am only suspescting of incompability between your Rams.

I am running win 7 & when tried to install xp its showing compatibility problem . pl reply

Remember.... the OS compatibility is only lower to upper...not upper to lower....i.e.....
Win7 is higher than WinXP....so u cant run / install WinXP using Win7...but u can do the otherway round....i.e...1st u can install WinXP in C: drive, then let the machine start, once u get to WinXp dekstop then install Win7 in D: drive...(it's called Dual Boot)...so on the boot screen u can choose which OS to work with when the PC starts....
all the best
pls revert back...and kindly leave a rating and feedback to this solution...it will help me become a "Guru" here on Fixya....

Can I upgrade the drivers for this board to run win 7 64 bit

no drivers are available from any mfg of any hardware....all of the drivers have been given to MS by all mfgs.....
so if u r runing win7...then i am sorry MS will first validate ur Win7 for genuine OS...then only they will alow u to get the correct driver for any HW....
so contact MS for any driver for you PC....else do as i do...
have dual boot ...
C: for WinXP
D: for Win7....
so any activity that i cant do in win7 i fall back on XP to do...

Good day! That error used to be a non compatible with the hardware.I don't know this board, but i'll based my idea on your trouble..Mostly new hardwares today don't accept XP OS..Try to look the Motherboard's features..see if it is compatible with XP..

Ask me if you still don't get what I mean..

The machine frozen only at reboot

it seems to be a hardware issue.
to find out whether the bios or the handling of components is causing trouble, do as follows

when booting up, press pause-button after video-card and RAM check,
right when the system components are being listed(screen will halt)
now look if two or more components(like network card, IDE-controllers)
are using the same IRQ.
If so this could be your problem, because then internal handling on the hardware side fails.
to fix it, enter bios(press F1 orF2 orDEL during booting), set all the IRQ
handling to auto mode and if there is an potion available: plug and play operation system, then disable it.

Now the BIOS manages all components, not windows(it has the capability, though)
now boot up and in windows left-click start, goto: settings - control panel - add/remove hardware - hardware wizard
run the wiz and if it does not find any problems u did it.

good luck
