SOURCE: My portable ice maker quit

If you have recently moved the fridge, you may have rolled the fridge on top of the water line. This would restrict the water flow to the regulator. If the water line is not pinched, then the regulator is bad. You can replace it for around $25 with a universal part, or pay $50 for the original.

Thank,
Jim

My portable ice maker quit working. The water is not getting to the top ice maker part. The model # MCM30SST. The motor sounds like it is working.

The ice tray is freezing up . what can be done to fix this problem. I have a magic chef ice maker MCIM30SST

This answer came straight from the manufacture:

Stop the ice maker, and restart when the ice blocks melt. Select the
small ice size. Also Change the water in the reservoir.
Use water between 45 -90 F.

Not sure if that will do it but that is the only fix we could find straight from the manufacture. We wish you the best.

I DON'T HAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR A TM4 MR. COFFEE ICE TEA MAKER I BOUGHT AT A THRIFT STORE TODAY. I DO NOT KNOW HOW IT WORKS. I PRESS THE BUTTON AFTER ADDING WATER TO THE WATER LINE BUT IT CLICKS OFF...

I just got the exact IcedTea maker that you have (model TM4) from Mr. Coffee. I think that we were both trying to make it work the same way, which is wrong. The plastic pitcher goes on the bottom, while the part that plugs in with the button&indicator light goes on the top. Put water in the pitcher to the indicated water line and then pour it into the part with the metal basket. I didn't have any directional sheet either so I didn't know that the water goes in there. I thought the water would be gently warmed while in the plastic pitcher. After pouring water into the heating part, fill the pitcher with ice to indicated level (about 2 ice cube trays). Place the heating part with the button&indicator light on top of the plastic pitcher and cover it with the white lid. Push the button and it will heat the water and dispense the brewed tea into the pitcher thru a valve. The indicator light will go off when the brewing process is done. The entire manual can be downloaded from going to: http://www.mrcoffee.com/manuals/MrCoffee/tm4.pdf I hope this helps you if you still have the item. I bought mine to give my daughter while in college. I really like that it is so space saving compared to many that I am finding in stores today. Good luck and happy brewing!!! Susan

We have the water hooked up at the back of machine. there is a spout for the water to come in and fill the ice tray.but is does not. If we turn the water on it fills up the space under the ice basket. I...

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.
With the fill tube blocked with ice the water can drip down the back wall or drip into the ice bin or just stop up. You can use a hairdryer to thaw the tube out.

Icemaker draining alot of water

if you mean that the water is not rurning off going into the ice maker then its likely a bad solonoid ... there are two such solonoids (one for water and one for ice) located usually at the bottom behind rthe refregerator .. they can be found where the water is hooked up to the refrigerator ... the electrically operated solonoids are valves that turn water on and off ... if they get deposits inside they may quit working .. replaceing them is usually not hard (make sure to unplug first) ...
