I tried that and it didn't work. I tried to reset it how the manual says ,the microwave will go for about 7 seconds and cut off. I checked the plug and circuit breaker and everything is fine with that. When i set it to make the beep sound it will beep until you try to use the microwave.I don't know I'm doing wrong it was working then it stopped could the wrong button been pushed and messed up everything?

On any of the Panasonic Microwaves with an inverter, if your unit runs for a short time and then shuts off without heating the food, your problem will typically be in either the inverter or the magnetron. A trace signal is sent from the main timer circuit board through the inverter and then back to the main board. If the signal is interupted or there is a failure in the high voltage circuit, it will shut down the unit. The only way to repair the unit is to determine which part is bad, most commonly either the mag or the inverter, and replace it. There is no magic reset button, or anything you can do from the from the front of the unit.

Hi,

Press the "Off/Clear' button to cancel anything on the display, and reset the microwave. This is a soft reset and will simply get you out of any program you have started. Press it when the cooking complete reminder appears on the display.
Perform a hard reset. Pull the plug out of the wall power supply, and wait a moment. Plug the microwave back into the wall power supply to reset any anomalies with the microwave's memory. You will need to reset the time of day if you perform a hard reset.
Reset the time of day. Press the "Clock" button, and turn the dial to set the hours. Press the dial to enter. Follow the same procedure for the minutes and a.m. or p.m. Press the "Start" button to start the clock. This should help fix the problem.

Everything works on the microwave, the fan, the lights, the clock except it will not cook. You press start and it runs for a split second then cuts off. If you press popcorn it says error door open.

It sounds like a fuse. With the door fuse blown it will cause the microwave to not operate all all. It is a small thing to swap over. Its a bit like a car fuse. There will be a few different ones but all have a different purpose. Not sure if you are handy or a local electrical handyman can do the job.

Microwave cut off

the main control board is "seeingf" a high amprage draw from the inverter board . you have a problem with the inverter or the magntron . parts are more than a new unit . try to stay away from the inverter type , there just not ready for prime time . google "panasonic inverter reviews " and you will see just common your problem is good luck
