Hi, I may have the solution- I heard once that the drive wheels ( what load the paper ) can dry out and believe it or not the solution i heard was to rub them with WD-40( and obviously wipe dry again) , apparently this rejuvenates the rubber close enough to factory levels. Since you've apparently tried everything else I would bet that may be the problem, please write me back to let me know if this was useful-and even if not so I may try again. Thanks for asking FixYa, good luck-Prodzilla.

Hi

Your error code is
Jam at turn on (E03)

Toshiba E-studio 16, 20, 25 are equivalent to Xerox Pro 416 and 421.If machine has picture of wrench a code is present to read code press down "8" and "clear/stop" key simultaneously. All codes, except fuser error codes are reset by turning machine off and back on again. Messages are applicable to Toshiba E Studio 160, 200, DP1600, DP2000, and DP2500

Hello koaslosa,A printer during power on must initialize all it sensors and motors all moving mechanical parts during initialization, all mechanical parts should turn on and activates if one motor and sensors are faulty an error of paper jam will be detected so try to observe the operation during power on make sure all motors are working.

when the transport mechanism of the printer do not initialize it is not necessarily the motor has problem sometimes a dirt accumulation on the rubber thickens its surface make it very tight to motor to rotate cleaning the rubber rollers of the mechanism with a cotton buds moistened with alcohol will help do the cleaning first and let me know how it goes good luck!

Hi koaslosa,

I see that you have an occuring issue with your FAX machine and that you are getting an error E03.

Since that you already checked the system peice by piece and did not find any paper jammed in the system, also I see that you mentioned that the sensor needs replacing and still it did not fix you Fax Machine.

I believe that there is one more thing that you have not tried, you could try checking the Feed Clutch on your Fax Machine part number of the part will be
4401969900 / 4401969920

I hope that this will be of help regardig your concern.

Have a nice day,

E03 error code means, your machine get jammed at turn on. As you state that you replace sensor from another copier e-studio 16, whereas you have copier e-studio 28, there may be a compatibility issue for not working your replaced sensor. Try to replace with same model, if the problem still exists, try to consult with tech person.

Unfortunately the E030 error (which indicates a paper jam as you know) is triggered by a bypass sensor that has more than likely failed and will need to be replaced. I would first suggest taking a flashlight and carefully searching for any small bits of paper that might be loose inside the machine. Check the entire paper path as closely as possible.

If turning off and unplugging the machine for about 5 minutes and then powering on again doesn't reset the error, then you will have to call a service technician. This isn't something you can repair on your own unless you have access to parts and a service manual and experience in servicing these machines.

I heard about tech commets that opened the paper track thru the machine and found a loose paper guide and when tightened the error code went off. They thinks the loose guide may have been touching the sensor. Sometimes sensors or guides can be knocked out of alignment during a paper jam, and the only way to really find the issue is to open up the machine and take a look. And unless you have experience working on these machines, it's hard to know what you're looking at.

Keep us updated about this.

I'm assuming you made a typo, and it's an e-studio 282 not an e-studio 28 (which I don't think exists)

That error is not indicating a sensor that needs to be replaced.
You will get this error either immediately after warm up or possibly even during warm up, and occasionally you won't get it until you actually try to do something with the unit.
It's indicating that one of the paper sensors has detected paper somewhere (anywhere) in the unit.
This means you have to check all the paper trays and the entire paper path until you find the scrap of paper that's sitting on a sensor, or the page that's stuck in the unit.
Remember, any torn corner or scrap, as long as it's on a sensor anywhere in the paper path, can cause this error....you are not necessarily looking for a large chunk or full piece of paper!

SOURCE: Hi, to everyone I have

This error is triggered in 2 occasions:
1 - one of the sensors inside detects a paper jam - since you have checked and replaced the sensors then it's not it.
2- the current draw for one of the motors is too high and that is caused by either a short in the wiring of the respective motor (you will have to check them all) or there is something that prevents the motor from doing its job: a busted bearing or shim, a jammed carriage, a failed belt . To check for that you will need to completely dismantle the mechanisms of the printer, identify and fix the failed one.

Toshiba e studio 212 copier. Gives error code e03. Paper has been cleared and no particle inside, all sensor in place. Still gives error e03. What to do?

Search carefully onto the fuser cover for the actuator for exit sensor.
There is a spring that moves the actuator into normal position when the paper has passed. If it seems the spring is out from the actuator it will think there is still a paper jam. The best bet would be to call a service company to come out and make repairs if you are unable to get this spring back into place. After resetting the spring into the correct location, restart the machine and see if the problem continues. If it works and then goes into error mode again, it is likely this spring and or senor will need to be replaced.
Good luck.

My Toshiba E-Studio 650 is displaying a paper jam in the copier. I have removed all paper jam and I have replaced sensor. What am I missing?

There are other sensors to check or verify that there is continuity in the wires of the sensor that you've removed

good luck

My Toshiba E-studio 650 keeps E03 which means paper jam how can I fix this?

Probably moved some sensor caused by the paper jam, the sensor looks out of place or dirty and also check the continuity of the cables.

I have a couple of Toshiba machines with finishers in my office. I don't know if they use the same one as the 28 uses.

Is the rollers where it is getting stuck at have a dark cover with the number 1 on th handle?

More than likely you have bad feed tires in the tray you're pulling from or if the drum unit is stuck there probably is paper jammed up in the unit.  Replace you feed tires and check your drum separation claws when you are able to get the drum unit out.
