With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

If the voltage on both terminals is 12v or higher, the amplifier may be in need of repair.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

MY AMP WAS WORKING UNTIL IT JUST STOPPED WORKIN AND WHEN I CHECKED THERE WAS A FUSE BLOWN UP BUT NOW AS I HAVE A NEW FUSE ITS STILL NOT WORKING ANY ADVICE WHAT TO DO THIS IS THE SECOND AMP IN A MONTH

Sounds to me like one of your positive cables keeps hitting metal somehow and causeing the fuse to blow. Ive had it happen to me when i had one of those amp splitter boxes that i didnt have mounted down properly and it slid into the metal on a seat post and same thing happened.

My amp quit working i might have overloaded it. ive checked all the fuses on the out side all wires r hooked up properly. i was wondering if there is a couple of fuses on the inside and what can i do if...

The only servicable components on your amplifier are the extrenal fuses if any.

If you have checked them and there is othing wrong then you will have to send your amplifier in to a reputable dealer to have it checked and repaired.

Help!

The best I advice I could give you right now is to check all of your connections. Check your ground. make sure it is a solid connection to bare metal. I wouldn't recommend using an existing bolt on the car like a strut tower bolt. If you do clean the surface to bare metal then attach the ground. If you check all your connections, make sure nothing shorted then you might have a problem with the amp. What impedance are you running your subs at and what impedance is your amp capable of? My brother had 2 12" subs wired to 2 OHMs a piece wired together to make 1 OHM into a 2 OHM stable amp. This made his amp shut off and blow fuses. So, check impedances. I hope I could help.

Installation

Buy an amp wiring kit. The battery cable goes to the battery (duh, right?) with the fuse within 18 inches of the battery. The ground gets bolted to a clean section of the car chassis/body. the remote lead goes to the radio's remote out (blue/white stripe). the rca cable goes to the radio's Sub/rear RCA outputs. Speaker wires go the speakers. Done!

No power to amp

Are you sure it has the full voltage going to both BATT and REM? sounds like the REM signal is weak.

Pioneer GM-7300M 800 Watt amp will not power on

This may have a different type of triggered turn on wire. On some of the older Pioneer amps (and maybe some new ones) the trigger wire would SUPPLY B+ TO THE RADIO and when the radio was switched on the amp would sense a current draw on that wire and would then switch on. Unlike most common amps which sense the presence of B+ on the trigger wire supplied by the radio and then turn on. Look in your owners manual to see kind of turn on system you have. If you don't have an owners manual then perhaps you can download one from Pioneer support. good luck
