Question about Peg Perego John Deere Gator HPX Ride on Toy

1 Answer

First warm day of the season, charged the battery and installed it: nothing. I checked the battery and it reads 13+ volts. The dump does not move nor do the wheels activate regardless of shifter location. It seems a wire is broken, but where and why? Is there a schematic available to help with trouble shooting?

SOURCE: Does not run when I push the pedal, it is brand

OMG! The exact same situation here! Bought through Amazon, no warranty. I am so bummed. It was rode 5 times by a five year old on flat ground. Now it is a brand new, non operational, made in China piece of $500- junk! I am furious!!!When you press on pedal, nothing happens, fully charged battery, etc. Volt meter even confirmed fully charged battery. What ever happened in your situation? I am so hesitant to buy other parts, or send it here, to put more money into an overpriced piece of ****. Way to ruin Christmas!

SOURCE: I have a cub cadet 2165, it was running great,

Hi
You blew a fuse. The easiest fuse to get to is under the hood and next to the gas tank. Replace it with the same fuse. Make sure the tractor is in neutral, blades are not engaged and the brakes are set. Should start right up. If not, you've blown a different fuse or a switch has gone bad. A reputable repair person is needed then.

Why is my battery not charging on my Motorcycle

With a fully charged battery connected, read the voltage across the positve (+) and negative(-) with a digital meter. It should be about 12.0-12.4volts DC. Start the bike and again check the voltage with the engine running. The reading should be 13-13.5 volts which means your charging circuit is okay. If still reading around 12 volts the charging system is not working, but if reading higher than 13.5v you have a serious charging fault that is putting too much power to your battery and frying it.

Battery keeps going dead

24 volts is way to high, the battery should be 12 volts, the alternator should put out 13 volts up to 15.5 volts, if the alternator belt is excessively loose, it wont charge properly, if the belt is tight check the alternator output, (you can ck it at the battery) make sure the output is a minium of 13 should be not less when reving the engine up a little the voltage should increase, but not above 15.5 volts

Blower motor slows down when i accelerate

I have a thought you may try testing your battery voltage with the car turned off .It should read 12 volts or higher if not charge battery than check again if battery is lower than 12 volts after charging replace battery. If 12 volts or higher start engine check voltage on battery again it should be 13 volts to 14.5 volts not higher if voltage readings are lower than 13 volts or higher than 14.5 volts replace alternator.

My "check charging system" keeps

first thing you should check is the battery. to do this you should buy a multimeter from a parts house and set it on volts. with car off check charge of battery. it should read 12 volts. start car and retouch red probe to positive and black probe to negitive. it should read 13 to 14 volts. if it still
reads 12 or anything below 13 volts you need to replace alternator. also check wires from alternator to see if any are loose.

The battery light is on, check charging system communication is displayed. Have changed battery with no change.

it may be the alternator thats not charging or its a over charge. at battery with engine off should read at least 12.8 to 13 volts, when engine is running, at battery voltage should be at least 14 to 14.2. if running and not producing about 14 volts. the alternator is bad, or the belt is slipping. check alternator voltage. have a good day !!

My batteries are struggling to charge do i need new ones

Harold Do you mean that they won't fully charge or won't charge at all. If you have the small 12/12 batteries then they do not last as long as the U1 batteries (bigger) If you have the U1 batteries check the voltage of the batteries with a volt meter Fully charged should read over 12 volts and up to 13.5 volts. Also check your charger to make sure that it is charging with a voltmeter you can measure the voltage aith the charger plugged in and you should be reading over 13 volts on each battery. Hope this helps you

1985 dodge powerwagon, lights went dim driving home now wont start, just replaced battery 6 months ago. starter clicked at first then nothing.

The alternator may not be charging the battery. Jump start it, and use a volt meter at the battery, red lead to positive and black to neg. The meter should read between 13 and almost 15 volts, any lower than 13 volts, the alternator is no good. (this is done with vehicle running).

Cranks initially

It starts because current flows easier in a warm battery. But any guessing about what the problem is needs to start with a charged battery, lead acid batteries need to be charged to 12.6v, if it won't charge to 12.6v, the battery needs replacing. It also sounds like your charging system may not be working right, which may have caused the battery to fail. With a charged battery check voltage at battery at 2500-3500rpm, it should read 13 to 14 volts, most bikes do not charge at idle.
