Next time send the model number,if the freezer is on top then you have a blocked drain in the freezer.unplug the machine or remove the bottom kickplate and you should see a tech sheet,it will tell you how to put the machine into defrost and the heater will come on to help you melt out the ice in the freezer or just unplug it.remove everything out of the freezer, remove the back wall and with a hair dryer melt all the ice,now you have to clear the drain, you'll see a hole under the evap coil,it has ice and junk in it,i use a steamer to clear out the line,if you don't have a steamer you can try a turkey baster or anything that will blow through the line to clear it out,you can open the fridge door and heat up the ceiling part in the middle to melt out the ice in the drain, when you think the drain is clear pour hot water into the hole,if it drains down you're donw if it doesn't keep heating it up until it's clear

I'm guessing you mean in the fridge, if freezing in the freezer you'd have no issue. Look inside fridge 7sually on back wall or ceiling, there will be a dial to adjust the temperature of your fridge, gradually set warmer until freezing food issues stop.

Take out the back panel inside your freezer and locate the drip line in there, it should be some where under the coils, check if its blocked up with ice, if it is you need to unclog it. there should also be a wire that runs into that drip line (it helps defrost that line) you might need to replace that wire.

Hotpoint model #ctxy14epjrwh slow water drip from inside of the refrigerator. inside the top of the frig, center, there are several components that appear to come down from the freezer. the lowest one...

That water is from the melting frost of the automatic defrost cycle. Their is drain in the freezer behind the back wall under the evaperator coil that is blocked, so instead of defrost water draining it's pooling in the freezer or in some case espically on models with the freezer on the top,the water is leaking from the freezer vents into the fresh food compartment.
The way to clear the drain is remove back plate and remove all ice build up and GENTLY make a small hole in drain through then totally flush w/warm water.
The exact location of drain is under the coil behind back freezer plate in the centeroldtech2332_52.jpg

Fridge is leaking water from the inside, on the back wall

Your freezer drain is clogged or frozen up with ice blockage. Need to remove the freezer floor liner, usually 2-4 1/4" screws holding it in - slide it out. Next slowly pour hot water over ice build up and melt all ice. The drain is under the evaporator coils (small hole near center) this connects to a pan under the refrigerator that then evaporates on its own. I usually place a couple of bowls inside fresh food area on top shelf to catch excess water dripping through ceiling of fresh foods.

Next you will need to attach a heat probe from the heater under the freezer coils and feed it into the drain in order to prevent freezing up again. Use part #819043 heat probe or strip some #14 gauge copper wire and wrap around heater once and place down through drain. Recommend the heat probe 819043 to get it right the first time.

Refridgerator problem

Not sure about your model, but most of these style side by side refridgerators use the cold air from the freezer to cool the refridgerator. Sounds like your "flapper" valve is broken. At the top left in the refridgerator there should be plastic shroud. Remove it and your flapper valve should be under it. You will most likely find the flap broken off of it. You may have success using epoxy to glue it or you may have to replace the valve assembly.
Good luck.

Freezer in nice and cold but refridgerator is not

due to lots of moisture in the air or high humidity it creates extra frost in the freezing unit this creates blockage in the air flow once the ice crystals build up. the freezer is what keeps the fridge at the normal temperature if the air flow between the two are blocked in the ducting then the fridge temperature will rise the best way to solve this is to open the freezer take out the 4 screws in the back panel tilt the panel forward and blow it with a blow dryer till the ice chunk has melted its a good idea to use a towel and on the top self of the fridge to obsorb excess water this can be kinda messy. or you can unplug your fridge for about 6 or so hours. good luck hope i helped. :)

Food freezing in refrigerator and water dripping

The problem with the water is that the drain tube is plugged. The easiest way to fix this and to save money is to unplugg the refrigerator and leave the doors open all day. This will thaw out the drain tube without a service technician coming out. That will fix that problem. With it freezing the food on the where its not supposed, This may be a bad cold control. But try unplugging the unit for a day with the doors open and this may fix both problems. (i know it will fix the water issue)
