In your control panel, go to windows updates. see if you may find it is not been installed. then search online at the microsoft website for the patch. download, install, and go.

You can download that patch here.
note: you need a legitimate license of windows, meaning you have to have paid for your Vista.

windows Vista 64 bit it is important to run the Vista patch that you can download from the Dell website (Downloads and drivers).
Run the patch, after removing the printer USB cable from the computer then Restart the computer as the patch suggests and then install the Vista specific drivers, which also need to be downloaded from Dell Website.
Again, do not connect the printer unless the installation software asks you to to do so
Hope this will fix the problem

Need patch kb959247

Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Initially, I tried checking with Microsoft and I was informed that "The Knowledge Base (KB) Article You Requested Is Currently Not Available" pertaining to your required KB959247. Sorry.

However, I checked further and was informed that the actual message is:
"The Windows Vista operating system is not fully up-to-date, and theKB929547 Vista Patch is not present. If you install AVG on your systemwithout the KB929547 Vista Patch, you might experience significantsystem slowdown and internet connectivity issues."

Should this be the case, then what you probably need is KB929547 Vista Patch.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Downloading the kb929547 patch for windows vista

that 32 bit and 64 bit are concerned with processors... there are separate windows for 32bit and 64bit processors.... most of the intel processors are 32bit... so better choose 32bit for downloading any file

All right, let's try this again ! Sorry that other link appears to have broken. This should lead you to the Microsoft downloads page...you will first have to validate, then you should be able to download the fix.

Now, on to the data is invalid issue. It seems like the patch you have may have been corrupted. Try to redownload, and apply a new patch, and see if that works.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there on your particular issue, so we may have to wing it to start with. A possible cause of this, so you know, may be some kind of malware already on your pc. Are you installing AVG to get rid of something ? Or just for protection ?

Anyway, try getting rid of the earlier download ( use add/remove) and redownloading the kb fix. If that doesn't work, then we'll go from there.

Vista Patch

Simple, most unlikely solution: Try to download patch from microsoft website and install it.

Other Solution: Go to trained professional, (geeksquad or firedog), they will install it more simply and correctly.

Installation of software by them is probably like 30 bucks.
