Cannot use remote control to switch on TV, but I can manual switch the TV. Guess the receiver board has problem.

Hello
If front panel contols are working and set does not works with its remote control, first check the remote control for its infrared emission. You can check it with the help of a cellphone set to camera option. Eventhough, human eye cannot detect the infrared rays, electronic cameras can. Just hold the remote control at about a feet away from the cellphone camera lens, and press each button on it. if there is any infrared radiation comes out of it, the cellphone camera will sense it, and you can get an image of it the screen. If it is there, still the TV does not respond to it, the infrared sensor inside the circuit board of your tV is faulty, and should be replaced with same typw and number. OK.

Need codes, not sure if remote sensor on tv works

To know your remote sensor is properly working you should have a cellphone with camera, point the sensor to the camera lens then try to press any button then look in to the monitor of your cellphone, you will see a red glowing light in your monitor.

Does not work

Hello
Check its battery contacts first. In remote controls, if battery contacts get rusted or dusty, proper battery connection will not occur. If battery contacts are good, check its infrared emission. You can check it with the help of a cellphone with camera option. Put the cellphone to camera mode, and place the remote control just one feet away from its lens, and push each button on the remote control. Eventhough human eye cannot detect infrared rays, electronic cameras can. If there is infrared rays emitting, you can see its image on the cellphone screen. If not, be sure that the remote contro is faulty. If there is infrared image, and still the device you wants to control does not respond; infrared sensor inside your device is faulty, and should be replaced. OK.

The Remote will not operate the tv.I can turn it on and off with the controls on the unit. The batteries have been changed

Hold the remote control about one feet or so away from the cellphone camera lens, after set the phone to camera mode, press each button on the remote handset. If infrared emission is there, you can see its image on the screen of the cellphone. If there is no image, remote control is damaged. If there is image on the screen; and still your TV not respond to it, the infrared sensor inside the TV is faulty and shoould be replaced. OK.

Remote stopped working. wasnt dropped or damaged. changed the batteries and still not working.

Hello
Please check the remote control for its infrared emission. You can check it very easly. Put new batteries and do the following. You may have a cellphone with camera option. Put the cellphone to camera option, and point your remote control towards the the lens of the cellphone camera and press each button on the remote control and see whether there is any image of infrared rays on the screen of the cellphone camera. Infrared rays cannot be detectecd by humen eyes, but can detected by electronic camera. If there is image, and still your Tv does not respond to the remote control, the infrared sensor inside your TV is faulty, and should be repalced. It can be checked with a cellphone which has a camera option in it. Set the cellphone to camera mode. and place the remote control handset in front of its lens about one feet or so away from it, and press each button on it. I can not switch on my TV by remote control while the indication light is on

Hello
Have you checked if there is any infrared rays emitting from your TVs remote control? You cannot see it with naked eyes, because infrared rays are invisible. You can check it, if you have a cellphone with camera option. Put the cellphone in camera mode, and point your TVs remote control's front end [LED] side, towards the lens of your cellphone camera, at about one feet away, press each button on your TVs remote control. If there is any infrared rays comes, the cellphone camera, will detect it, and you can see it on its screen.
If there is Infrared Rays, the fault is inside your TV. Its remote sensor fitted inside the circuit board is damaged. You can replace it with an identical one. Before ensuring that your TVs remote control is damged, just check its cells changed, and look for any dust or rust on the contacts of the cell connections inside the battery campartment of your TVs remote control. OK
