Question about Microwave Ovens

Our office machine Gaggia Titanium stopped working. It says ventilate, but it won't reset. I have cleaned it and reset factory settings. When I try to descale, it goes on for a short time, but no water comes out of the nozzle (a little came out once, but not again). I've turned on the hot water knob/button, but no hot water comes out and the pump goes off after a short time. It says "descaling done" or "rinse done." I suspect that something is clogged because the machine went a long time without descaling. Is there a way I can clean out the water pipes etc? Thanks

No, I cleaned that already. The descaling should result in the water in the tank coming through the machine, right? Virtually nothing comes out when I click on descaling. Or "hot water."

How do I access those parts to clean them out - eg the boiler and the valve? Do you have a schematic that would help me do that?

Thanks. Do you mean I should pour hot water into the machine by hand? If so, through what opening?

Well, "Ventilate"simply means that there is an air pocket caught in the system and running waterthrough it can fix the problem. When the ventilate message appears, you willneed to run hot water through your steam/hot water wand as if you were going tofill your cup with hot water. If the message does not go away after doing so,you will have to run hot water through your wand continuously into an emptycontainer (emptying one full water reservoir if not more). Once yourdisplay screen reads "Select Product, ready for use," you will beready to brew delicious coffee again.

Hi david_w_shap,

If you already tried to ventilate by pressing the hot water button and done resetting the machine to it's factory default then probably you have a faulty "Steam Valve Cam".

You might also want to clean the steam nozzle/ steam wand it might be clogged with solidified milk. Take off the nozzle and unscrew the top part then pull off the black component, rinse it, blow through it. You can use a bent paper clip to clean out the wand.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

    Hi david_w_shap,

If there's no water coming out of the machine at all this sounds like you have an internal blockage in boiler. You have to check the line that goes to the steam/hot water valve. Aside from a possibility of having a faulty/damaged "steam valve". This needs to be repaired.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you for using FIxya.

What does it mean to descale my tassimo? the yellow light is on and the screen keeps saying "descale". thanks

In order to keep your Tassimo machine operational at full order, it is important to descale it every three months. Descaling products are widely available from stores that sell coffeemakers and espresso machines. Be sure that the product you buy to descale your Tassimo machine is intended for this specific use only. Mix the descaling product directly in the water container, following the instructions provided on the descaling packaging. Then replace the water container on the machine. Place a large cup or mug on the cup stand, insert the cleaning disc, bar code down and close the brew mechanism. As soon as the AUTO light illuminates, press and release the start/stop button. This will fill the brew cycle with descaling solution. Empty the cup and let the machine stand for 15 minutes. Then open the brew mechanism and close it again, leaving the cleaning disc in place. Repeat this step two more times for maximum descaling effectiveness.

Discard the remaining descaling agent from the water container, rinse it well and refill with fresh, cold water. Clean the machine by flushing water through it in the same manner and emptying the cup as it fills. Make sure that all the descaling solution has been completely rinsed away, and then flush two full water containers through the machine before using it again. Remove the cleaning disc, rinse and refill the water container and your Tassimo machine is ready to use. Also, before you descale your Tassimo machine, always unplug it. Also, never immerse the appliance in water and nor should you use abrasive cleaning products or scouring materials on any part of your Tassimo machine. This method works for most espresso machines, including some of these popular models: the DeLonghi Magnifica EAM3200S, DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM4200S, DeLonghi Perfecta ESAM5400, Gaggia 74507BCN Classic, Krups EA8080 Espresseria Automatic, DeLonghi PrimaDonna ESAM6600, the BC0255 DeLonghi coffee machine and the Krups Nespresso CititZ XN 7006.

We had the same problem on our machine, and it was fixed by backing the strength setting (the physical dial on the front of the machine) off from the "maximum" setting a small amount. Somehow this was creating too much back pressure, and the useless "will not prime" message appeared.

My emerson just quick working the timer is on but it isn't doing anything. I unplugged it thinking it may have reset but it didn't. How can I fix it?

I have a similar issue with this machine. For your problem, try this...Press and hold the STOP button for three seconds. This is intended to turn off the "Child Lock Out" function. On the other hand, you may find that buttons that do not work today will be fine in a few hours and different buttons will not work. It seems that every time I press a button, it's "pot-luck" if it will work or not.
The only way to repair it is mail it to California at your own expense and include a check for $15.00 for handeling. Target won't help and if you bought the extended plan it only kicks in after the emerson waranty runs out. If you buy this machine, buy another brand as well so you have one that works while this one is out being repaired.

Yesterday my GE JE1390WA, stopped working. After being dead for about 30 minutes it came back on, but sounds like a fan is continuosly running and says RESET. If I do nothing it makes fan noise for a while...

Please disconnect the set, open the cover of the oven , then the front panel assembly. Inspect carefully for any signs of insect/ coakroaches within the set, if so use a good blower to clean the inside, use a hot air dryer to warm for any insect dirt. once you have finished checking for any loose connections and the clean status, close the cover back and check on the set. If it does not work well try settting the clock and test. Hope this helps. Good day.
