Epson9600 on Leopard Driver default problem

Hi there Ive just recently converted to Leopard on my G4 powerbook and installed the appropriate driver for the 9600 (SPro9600 309).Working in indesign I set up a custom size preset and have the correct profile etc. It all looks good and correct until I press print... For  some reason the driver defaults back to A4.I cant even save the document with the custom preset as it reverts. Does anyone have an idea why this is please? Would really appreciate a clue.
cheers

i'm in the same boat. No matter how many times i try and change the size settings, an A4 size always seems to over ride using inDesign CS3.

I have the Epson Stylus Pro 9600 InkJet Printer and recently upgraded to Leopard. I downloaded and installed what was supposedly the ppd or print driver, SPro 309. When I open that, it opens a print utility that gives me no options and doesn't recognize any of the printers I have installed! Epson says they are not going to upgrade the ppd to a fully functioning ppd. Does anyone know how to get around this?

Unfortunately, printing from Photoshop is not a solution at all! The problem seems to be relating to the driver which does not let the software override the default settings. I'm using Leopard and have been trying without success to print correctly from a number of applications including Adobe Lightroom 2.2. I've even tried setting up custom page sizes and using these as defaults from the driver. I have given up and gone to printing from Windows PC as I find the options allow for far greater and more comprehensive control over the output. This is a very frustrating problem. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Typically you need to use photoshop to output properly on the 9600

Cannot print from my Intel based MAcBook Pro on my Epson Stylus Photo R1800

mac book pro has a usb cable right? you can actually use it to connect to the r2400 and then dont use a guten driver use the downloadable driver for r2400 for leopard instead

Macintosh OS X 10.5 drivers for your product are available for download from the Epson support site.

1. Go to the Epson support website (www.epson.com/support).

2. Select your product model and download the driver for OS X 10.5 Leopard operating system.

Note: Be sure to select the appropriate driver compatible with your system: PowerPC or Intel Intel based.
