I did not get an answer or solution to my problem. I was told that the manual was not available but I already knew that. I was also told that I needed to call a number of a related company but I knew that too. I need a solution and have asked/called one person after another but no one call tell me what is wrong with my treadmill; thats why I was willing to pay for an expert.

Thank you, this makes a lot of sense to me. Obviously, the main cause of most treadmill problems is a result of poor belt maintenance and a worn deck. When this first started happening I bought a lube kit, lubed the belt and hoped for the best. However, it did not help. My concern now is economy and fixing what is most likely the cause. Belt, deck and control would be pretty expensive. Im afraid that the controler might be the problem. Is there a way to check just that or is the only way to go step wise eliminating the likely problems first? Please advise.

Yes, suggestions were mostly helpful. I would have liked a definitive stepwise diagnostic procedure since so many possible causes exist but my basic question was answered.

Hi,

This is a common error on this machine.

The E3 error code indicates an overspeed warning.
The cause is excess drag on the walk belt or board. The drag prevents the belt from starting easily and the controller will send more power to the motor to accomodate the drag, but the controller sends to much power and thus the treadmill races. The controller then senses the overspeed and shuts it down and gives the E3 code.

The motor controller weakens over time because of the excessive amperage draw of the motor do to lack of lubrication (which wears the walk belt and walking deck).

Take an amperage reading of the motor it should be 2-3 amps with no one on it, with someone walking on it it should be around 6-12 amps. I would bet yours is elevated above 6-12 amps. The controller is dropping output because of the friction problem.

The first thing to try after testing the amperage is to lubricate the walking platform. Then retest and see if the amperage comes down and it doesn't shut off.

If it does then the next step would be to replace the walking deck. If the amperage still is up you may need to replace the walk belt second and finally if after replacing the deck and belt, if the unit is still shutting down replace the motor controller.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

    Thanks for your response!!

You can check the output voltage to the console if there is voltage to
the console then the console is bad if there is no voltage to the
console then the controller is bad.Usually the black and red wires that run to the console supply the voltage.

It can be weak motor or faulty motor controller issue. The internal motor connections are loose or the belt is dried up and needs basic lubing by grease. Not too much grease but bit of grease on its gears.
----------- First lubricate the belt, disconnect clean and reconnect the motor wiring connectors. Then check out.In most cases, the should belt. But if motor controlling board or motor is actually weak faulty, then it has to be replaced.----------This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Was not able to find this manual posted online. However Trimline treadmills are actually produced by Hebb Industries whihc is the same company which produces Nautilus and Bowflex

Contact them by phone at 1-360-859-2900 or 1-800-NAUTILUS and they should be able to forward you a copy of the User Manual as well as answer any questions with respect to your Error code.

Trimline t340 treadmill

I would recommend throwing it into a large trash can. Trimline parts are very difficult to find and very expensive. What you would have to spend to bring this machine up to useable shape and guarantee another 4 years would be as much as buying a brand new machine of the same quality.

After main washing, stops and can't spin. Gives error E3.

The "E3" error indicates that a Samsung washer's motor is not running properly. The cycle can usually be restarted by pressing the "Start/Pause" button. However, if the error code appears again, you should contact an authorized service technician.

A 3e error is a possible drain clog,Remove drain line and check for any clogs.

My Trimline treadmill 1050.E2 is showing an 'E2' on its screen and not working any more.

Hello all,

I have the same issue - it Shows "E2" on the time Display...

I already checked the Speed sensor and inclination potentiometer and both are OK... Moreover, I found that EEPROM Memory (Microchip 93LC46) is broken (reads "00"). After replacing it, I Need a way to reset / recalibrate the treadmill. I found on some Forums that there shall be a key combination (Speed+ & Start / Stop or similar) but None works for me. Could you please (if available) post the User Manual page describing the calibration entry? Or, maybe, advice a way to calibrate the 1050? Even the EEPROM Content (I guess the it is an issue) will be really helpful. Thank you in advance,

Milos

E3 code error.

“E3” code – Machine control is attempting to drive the motor but is not seeing any tach response. Visual Check shows motor is not moving. (Locked or Hall Sensor fault.)
Possible causes of ‘E3’ codes: 1. Spin drum stuck – Verify that the spinner moves freely to eliminate this cause. 2. Hall Sensor fails or is loose – When the Hall Sensor fails or becomes dislodged, the control doesn't recognize that the motor is spinning and shuts down. The result will likely be an “E3” code in the worst case, or “SUdS” if it is only getting a partial rpm reading. Check wire harness connector(s) to motor.
Hall Sensor – PCB that is located on the back of the motor that senses motor rpm. It is not a separate part, but rather an integral part of the motor.

E3 means water is "not heating" for this model. Check the heating element, thermostat/thermistor or printed circuit board with power OFF.
