The ps3 does not support many external hard drives.

But they do accept USB Flash drives/thumb drives.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

What new HDD will match my Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8?

Mark,
You can use any size HDD in your computer as a slave and it does not have to be an exact match for the maxtor. You will however need the make sure that the connections on the new drive match. For example SATA drives will not attache to an IDE cable and vice versa. The drive that you mentioned is an IDE style drive so unless your MOBO has SATA connectors on it you will need to buy an IDE/EIDE drive.

I bought a Maxtor OneTouch4 Mini 160GB external hard drive. The rason being that I wanted to increase my hard drive capacity--My laptop is below 50 GBs now and I intend to be doing quite q lot of video...

I have a 320GB Maxtor OneTouch. I copied all of the software off of the Maxtor to my main drive then reformatted the Maxtor as a normal driv.

Hdd maxtor

Sorry about that last link. Go here..

http://www.maxtor-hdd.narod.ru/

Navigate to the larger chart in this page, and select the third link on the list. If you read across, it identifies itself as the hard drive you mentioned - Calypso family, 80GB.

That will get you what you need.

Maxtor basics 160gb drive will not work with Vista

Hi Nuisance101, try downloading & run Maxtor's MaxBlast 5 software before you drive yourself nuts.

Maxtor claims Vista support.
Have more questions, feel free to ask.
Good Luck!

Maxtor onetouch 4 mini 160gb used as back up

Yes you do. If you don't have them they are available from the manufacturer but for some reason they want you to email them with the serial number of the drive.

EMACHINE T1840 160GB HDD UPGRADE

The Safest thing to do is to actually create a 2nd partition
which will give you the full use of the 160gb
remember thou that windows sees a K as 1024
not the 1000 measurement you would expect
On older pcs there is a limitaion 137 then when formated bringing it down to 127gb
If me I would run the Maxtor setup and choose custom ,delete the partition already made, then create 2 partitions ,then tell it to copy from your old c:\ to the first partition, making new hdd the new boot drive
another option is go buy a ATA133 PCI card with 48 bit addressing
