Our Whirlpool GU2400XTPB6 dishwasher has the clean light blinking 7 times. We have reset using the heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal sequence. It resets, but does the same thing around the 40 min mark in the cycle. A d1 fault code shows briefly when I reset. Any suggestions?

It indicates a water temp problem. If water temp doesn't rise at a certain rate, by the heater, it goes into this error. Probably a problem with heater or wires to it.

SOURCE: Blinking Green Light

Here's what I could find on the your error code:

A blinking clean light that flashes 7 times and cannot be reset, occurs when the electronic control does not detect a water temperature increase during the main wash. This could be an indication of a failed heating element, in line thermostat, electronic control board and/or wiring. This problem can also occur if the main wash pump becomes clogged and it not spraying sufficiently. I hope this helps you.

PS A faulty door latch can also cause this error code.

SOURCE: Kenmore 665 dishwasher blinking clean light

you'll need to enter a diagnostic mode, press in this order, hi-temp(sani-rinse)----heated dry--hitemp---heated dry... all lights should light, close door and let cycle for about a min, after press the cancelbutton, you should be good to go, the buttons on your model may read slighty different names, if this "toggle of buttons" does not work, you can remove thelower access panel and htere willl be a tech sheet/trouble shoooter behind the panel, in there it will explain how to enter diag/test mode

SOURCE: clean light blinks 7 times after going through

this error says that there is a fault in the heater circuit. the heater circiut goes thru the doorlock assembly, thermostat(if equipped) then heater and back to the board.

do you see or feel and rough spots on the surface of the heater? if so it is probably burned out. if thats not it i would check continuity on the door switches, then the thermostat and the heater.

Normal light blinks

Hi

Open the door. Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within 6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help then try pressing Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry,Saini Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally. If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

I have a whirlpool quite porter the led light blinks 7 times then keeps repeating

Hi
If clean light is blinking 7 times then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset.
If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

I have a Whirlpool Dishwasher Model #GU240CXTPB1. The normal light won't stop blinking. Tried turning the breaker to reset, but still blinks. No other button works.

Whirlpool dishwasher reset sequence is usually to hit the heat dry then normal then heat dry then normal buttons within 5 seconds and it usually resets.

Light flashing

reset the dishwasher by touching heated dry and normal let it run through that cycle then through a normal cycle got the error blink again. Reset dishwasher by touching heated dry and normal, ran the test cycle, next ran a normal cycle but turned off the heated dry. This allowed the dishwasher to run through a complete cycle did not get the error blink and confirmed that the heating element was out.
