It will be best if you disconnect the power and the data cable out of the Drive A: or your disket, then try to reboot. you may try to reinstall the drive later on on safe mode once your PC is error free.

If you're using window xp/2000 you can try using the last known configuration option. Here are the instructions:

To load the last known good configuration in Windows 2000 / XP reboot the computer and as it's booting booting repeatedly press the F8 Key, which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. When I turn on my acer netbook a message comes on that says a recent hardware or software change might have caused windows not to start successfully.

It sounds like a software or driver problem.
You could try running Last Known Good Configuration and see if rolling back to a known good will work.
This video will help you to run last known good configuration, it shows Windows 7 but if your not running Windows 7 all the versions of Windows run last known good config in the same way.

Try go into BIOS by hitting the DEL key or F1 or F2 as you start and go to save Cmos config. then reboot.
The other approach is Last known Good config is the best. This can be brought up after presing power button then by tapping F8 till screen apears.. Select Last known Good Config

The tool could not get HDD physical information.

Laptop hard drives are usually the 1st to go when it comes to issues with laptops.

I would recommend replacing it. Roughly 50 bucks for a 40 or 60Gb laptop Hard drive. Install it and try your recovery cd again.

My wifes laptop is from 2001 and it has gone through 2 hard drives. Its just the way they are. Backup data, always!

Diskette drive 0 seek failure

Does the PC have a floppy drive? If it doesn't It appears that your BIOS (Basic PC setup) thinks that there is one! I think that pressing f2 on boot will bring you into the BIOS setup.
In there, see can you locate any reference to 3.5 inch floppy and amend it to the setting which suits the config of your PC.

Please take care as to what other settings you change in the BIOS

If you find this sugestion helps please take time to rate it

Computer won't reboot

Check your BIOS settings, specifically the diskette drive setting. Next, check the cabling to the drive itself. Your problem may have nothing to do with the diskette drive, but check it out. Next, have someone download hard drive diagnostics for the brand of drive in the machine. You could have errors on the drive, and a diagnostic program may locate, repair them. The startup disks, these do a full system restore, reinstall of the operating system? The machine will boot from the first startup disk and begin the reload process?
