Question about Heating & Cooling
Hi, and yes it has a collar on the prop that is either held on the shaft by a set bolt, or allen screw that holds it to the shaft. This must be a window/wall unit you have, sounds like it. Yes, you can do this, just take your time and it will slide off. Before you install the new prop, take a piece of sanding cloth and clean up the shaft. Add some oil and it will slide right on. Tighten the set screw and your all set. Spin it by hand to make sure it isn't hitting anything. Just take the old pieces, name, model, and serial numbers with you to a appliance parts store to get a new one. Good Luck to you.
