Question about Energizer ER HM450 (ER-HM450) UPS System
I had been running Energizer FileSaver v 4.2.1, and just recently reinstalled it and upgraded to v 5.0, because the unit tends to shut down my PC overnight even when there is no power failure. No lights are visible on the unit, but I go to bed at night with the PC on and wake up the next day to find it has been powered down (the UPS must be turned back on by its power switch. Also, when I was running v4.2.1, the software loaded at startup and then minimized to the system tray. Then, for a few months, every time the PC started up, the software would come up with an error message (List out of bounds(0)) and when I clicked OK on the message the software would shut down. This stopped when I reinstalled the software. However, when I did the upgrade, the new version does not start when the PC starts. The old version still starts, and if I want the new version, I need to start it from the Programs menu in XP SP3. Is there a way to get this software to start rather than the old one, when the computer starts up, and get the old version out of there? I figured the upgrade would handle that, but it didn't.
So i would suggest to look into your add/remove programs and see is their is the older file still their. if thier is then you may need to uninstall it. however getting any program to startup in your computer, you just need to move the programs files to the startup folder in your start menus.

Since its happenning to 4 computers i dont think every PSU could be faulty
but if they are using the same power supply source it might be a fault with it tripping out because of an overload or something
but it does sound like its got something to do with GV-00 cards and there software
while you have your computer running scroll to bottom toolbar right click select task manager under processes and applications you will see what is running and ticking over it just might be a bug/virus
you might uninstall the recently upgraded software 8.4 and go back to the 8.3
to see what happens
youmight as well test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty
any bad leads can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive
test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions EIDE SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty
computers need power and data to travel through every working device and to have a finishing point to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
even something as small as faulty fan and the fans electrical lead can cause this problem
if this fails to fix the problem
another possible reason could be a memory dump you might be running to many programs at the one time placing to much strain on the CPU also you might not have enough RAM random access memory
