I am in the process of replacing my burners on a Jenn Air model #7200063LP. The burners appear to slide into the gas feed tube on the front part of the grill and attached to the back part of the grill with...

Yes, there really is enough space. Remove the cotter pin(s) and while lifting up the end of the burner farthest from you, pull the burner up and out.

To replace the burners, do the above in reverse. Just be sure the burner tube slides over the burner orifice, properly.

Hope this helped you change the burners and Happy Grilling!!

Hi! Hope you can help us--we have a Brinkman 4-burner grill that is about 5yrs. old. Last yr. we started having problems with burner #2 not lighting all of the way and the burners all looked a bit rusty,...

I think you husband is trying to clean the wrong thin. The venturi tube is part of the burner itself. It's the open end of the burner, that has an air intake adjustment on it. It fits over the burner orifice. He may be hitting the orifice, which in fact may be clogged. Remove the offending burners and he will be able to see the burner orifice, which can be removed with the appropriately sized wrench. Once removed try blowing through it. If air doesn't blow through, it's clogged. Clean it with a straight pin that is no larger that the orifice hole. You do not want to enlarge it. Also, the new burners may need adjustment of the venturi for the proper air to gas mixture. Consult you Owners Manual on how to adjust it.

Need an Owners Manual? Go to http://www.brinkmann.net/my_grill.aspx and enter the Model Number of your grill.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem. Please don't forget to rate my response to you. Thanks!

Yes the best option for just for you is to buy a new burner, tube kit and a new manifold kit because all the things that you said you removed from the burner must have caused alot of rust on the burner and if you keep welding the burner there will still be linkage after awhile so the best thing is just for u replace the burner.

Yellow flame

Hello,
You may have a rusted, clogged or damaged burner or venturi tube. With a flashlight, check for spider webs, wasp nests or dirt (mud) dauber nests in the opening of the venturi tube where it connects at each gas valve orifice. Clean it out manually or blow it out with air compressor. Make sure the air adjustment opening (on the end of the burner's venturi tube) has not been changed. If it's closed too much, it will be difficult to light and cause lazy yellow flames. If it's not clogged, the burner may just be old and rusted and the burner holes are not allowing very much gas through anymore. It's also possible the burner has rusted so bad, the burner holes have been enlarged, it is falling apart or has cracks along the burner seams. If so, replace the burner(s) immediately. It is unsafe to use. Your local propane co can usually order the parts you need and some will even do the work, if you are uncomfortable doing it yourself. Bring with you the Make, Model and Serial number of the grill, so they can order the correct parts for your specific grill. Also specify whether it's natural gas2_bing.gif or propane.

Won't start

Try clearing the venturri tube. Sometimes spiders will build webs inside the venturri tube, restricting the flow of propane to the burner. If the venturri tube is clear, try cleaning the individual ports on the burner itself. Grease, food debris, and rust can clog the burner ports restricting the flame from coming up. If neither of these work, you most likely have a faulty regulator and need to purchase a replacement regulator.

Hope this helps!

Burners two and three will not light unless direct flame is put to it. Burner 1 will light off the ignitor.

Hello, there is a carry over tube that looks like a burner hold down at the back of the grill. This is likely rusted closed and will need to be cleaned or replaced. The clips that hold the tube down are part # 7000132 and the tube part # is 7000279. They can be purchased directly from Char-Broil or Sears parts.

Grill does not heat over 250 degrees

Here is a couple of things to do.

Make sure your tank is filled.
Straighten Fuel hose, so it is not bent or kinked.
Does your front burner light with a match? If it does light then check the Crossover Ignition System.

Also, It could be the way the unit is turn off.

Try following thses steps, this will help to reset the excess flow safety device.
Turn all burner control knobs and the cylinder valve OFF.
Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control knobs to HIGH. Wait at least 1 minute. Turn burner control knobs OFF. Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder. turn cylinder valve on slowly. Then go ahead an light your grill.

The front burner on my Weber Silver only partially lights, even after I've cleaned it. What else should I be looking at?

There is probably a clog inside the burner tube. you will have to removwe the burner from the grill and run a bottle brush through the tube, or with garden hose, spray into tube for a minute then with tube opening facing down, spray through burner hole to rinse out. this should be done to all burners, yearly.

RIGHT KNOB MELTED .WHY

Hi, Sorry but nobody wants to give bad news. There is a tube that comes from the control knob to the orifice that controls the amount of gas to the burners, my guess without being able to look at it is that the orifice broke at the connection to the tube and the flames are shooting back toward the knob. However it is possible that the venturi opening ( the screened part on the burner tube that sets on the orifice ) became dislodged. Either way you need to remove the grate, remove the burner assembly and then look ( under the cart from the back) at the tube and orifice for damage. You do not indicate how old any of this is and they do rust out. Parts are available but you have to determine if based on age and damage you want to replace any of it or all of it. If you inspect it and find something that you think you can fix you can get back to us for more help. If it is as simple as the dislodged tube and the parts are OK, reseat it and check it out. I wish you the best of Luck!
