Hello crd.... Adjustment is needed. Remove rear covers and using a 9/16 wrench lossen the four bolts that secure treadle assembly to base. Place a 3/4 inch piece of plywood or a 3/8 inch socket extension in between the treadles in the front area. with that in place center them about an 1/8 in closer to the right upright as when you tighten the four bolt up the drive belt will place additional pressure and they should center perfect. tighten bolts...tight. remove wedge from between treadles and recalibrate unit. replace covers and enjoy. Use turtle wax on area rubbed to prevent rust.

Treadles on tc5000 wobble and rub

You have to realign treadles ,take the back cover out and at the base of your unit you'll see two slides , couple of screws and yellow bushings if bushings are still in a good shape you can align treadles , if they're broken or worn out you have to replace them , I think there are 8 of them total ,they're called IGUS bushing
Good luck

One treadle is rubbung on the upright

The rear bolts are loose. I had the same problem and found the four 3/8" bolts loose. You need to take the rear side covers off first then the rear cover to get to the bolts.

Napa 8300 silicone is recommended. Apply under belts from front to back one fluid spray and also in bearing areas. Squeaking can also be caused by the center of the treadles rubbing to hard. If this is the case they need to be adjusted.
