Trying to print 'offline'. Computer recognises it is offline but will not print. Error message says 'Printer is offline' which is as it should be. Printer is HP photosmart C4580.

So, if you want to print, the printer must be online. Offline method doesn't work to print. When the computer sayst that the printer is offline, it means ypur printer is turned off or you don't connected the printer to PC.
As in conclusion, if you want to print set the printer online.

Have hp all in one c5100 that works and then when I tried to print a photo, erro message showed up. Printer is default but says it is offline.

Go to your printers and Faxes folder, Right click on the printer name, a flag will open, Click on "use printer online". This should solve the problem.

I have lost my ink level viewer. Hp Photosmart c5100 series. It used to show everytime I printed but now it is not there and I can't seem to recall it.

Did you install non-authentic HP cartridges? It doesn't like that and witholds information as punishment.
Try putting the following address into your web browser:
http://192.168.1.6/
this brings up my ink levels. However, I don't understand these things and you may need your own individual printer specific code.

Photosmart 2575 printer is offline - won't print

Good Day,

One thing you can try instead of deleting the doucment writer is to change the default printer. You can do this by right-clicking on the HP printer icon and selecting "set as default" from the drop down box. Also try turning the printer off and back on aswell as restaring the computer if you have'nt already. Did that printer ever work from that computer? How is it wired, by "switcher" do you mean a shared printer through you network(was printer sharing configured properly), or an A-B printer switch. Please clarify

Hope this helps for now

Can't get any of the 4 printers to print.

Go to "control panel" select "printers and faxes". Right clicking on the printer that you are using will allow you to select it as 'default printer', 'delete printer', 'rename printer', etc. If the printer you are using is there and is not check marked, select as default. Check to see if it now works. (you may have to restart computer) If it already is the default , delete printer. If you feel the software is ok and want to try to reinstall, you must first turn off the printer and remove the usb cable. The software will tell you when it is ok to plug your printer into the computer. If you do it to soon, Vista will try to assign its own driver. Which may be you original problem. Isn't vista fun?
