Question about Silver Jeans Watches

Open Question

I have EXACTLY the same problem as ccmom and my searches keep bringing me here, promising me an answer. NO DEAL. not even close. what gives? such a run-a-round, people. most of these responses are, "go to a professional". gee, if i wanted to do THAT, i would have already. i have before, and may still, but i'd like the CHOICE. ugh. "By cc_mom on Feb 14, 2011 I can't get the back off my Anne Klein **** watch to change the battery. There is no "divet" to pry the stainless steel back off."

SOURCE: Change ******** Anne Klein watch

Your watch comes with interchangeable bezels, not faces. Bezel is a ring or rectangle (depends what shape your watch has) surrounding a glass.
All bezels are mostly friction fitted,so, to remove your bezel you need to use a strong knife blade and press it between the bezel and the case. The bezel should lift up.
To get the bezel back you have to press it into place.
For changing the strap you have to turn watch upside down and using the knife or lug tool try to squeeze sprigbar end out of the watch lug. Sprinbar is the piece which holds a strap attached to watch. The end of springbar you will find exactly where the strap is attached to watch. Push it inwards and it must come out. The rest is like 2x2.
Good luck.

SOURCE: I can't get the back off of my Anne Klein watch

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving in doing it yourself.

SOURCE: how do i take the

If it's a pop-off type back, (you can tell by running your finger nail around the edge between the back and the case) If you find a slight indent or flat spot near the 12 o'clock position it is a pop-off back. Use a very sharp blade and VERY gently pry the case back up at this spot. It should pop off easily. Don't force it or it'll bend. To replace: line it up in the same position it had been and apply firm pressure untill it snaps back. If it's a screw off back (it has a series of slots around the edge) you'll need a case back tool to remove it. In that case it'll be easier to go to a jeweler.

Why not go to a store where they sell watches? or google for a fossil store close toy you? In this forum you put a question and have to wait if an what someone gives an answer, not knowing where the person is answering from. I live in Europe and I can't sell you a belt.
And even if I could, sending it over seas could cost as much as 30 euro. exuding the price of a belt close with you.

I have a Peugeot 292 with a face that is exactly the same as a 288BK. I love this watch, have had it for years, but lately it has not kept time. I checked the battery and it is still at 1.5 v. Is there...

mcdevito75 here, Even the best watches, Wind-up and Quatz give out over time, components simply wear down. If the battery is over 1 year old, even though it still test good at 1.5 volts Change it. Also check with the repair service right here on fixya, bottom of this page click on repair service directory then click on watches, maybe 1 of the watch repair people could, clean the watch or even change the quartz mechanism in the watch.

Can't get back off to change battery, even with special tool

Looking at the Fossil site, I couldn't find "Arkitekt blue" as a description.

I noted that they have a blue one which is automatic (i.e. self winding) and therefore does not need winding - but it does need to be worn to keep the spring wound up.

The Fossil site has a complete list of their models and selecting one gives you all the details of the watch, including manuals.

I suggest you try a search on the web site.

Hai,

If you are in the market for a real luxury watch you should plan on spending quite a bit of money. If you think you found a great deal on a luxury watch, make sure it is a real one and not a fake or knock off. Don't get caught up in the great deal you think your getting and forget about quality.

If all your after is a knock off so you can sport the name, it will not be hard for you to find one. There are many Internet sites and auction sites that claim they are selling the real luxury watches, but are not. First clue will be the price. Anything under $250 is probably a knock off.

Just because you find a watch on a website does not mean it is a real luxury watch. Some knock off watches have some pretty official looking web sites. Make sure you buy your watch from a well known dealer to insure that you are not getting ripped off. If the only place you see a particular watch for sale is on the Internet this may be another sign that it is a knock off.

Luxury brands of watches are not sold at more than a 50% discount no matter what. Even the most aggressive dealer will not give you this big of a discount off the retail price. If the dealer is going to give you this good of a discount its probably a fake. Luxury brands are also not sold at clearance or end of the season sales. There is no need for the retailer to sell their valuable jewelry at such high discounts.

If you think you have found a real luxury watch, be sure to do your research. You can do this research right from home on the Internet. Do a search on the brand of watch you would like to purchase. If your watch is not a fake dealers will discuss its quality. Collectors and owners will also be discussing the assets of the watch. If you cant find anything like this when you do a search beware that it may be a knock off. A couple brands that tend to be imposters are Klaus Kobec, Krug Baumen, and Montre Suisse.

Just remember that any deal that looks too good to be true usually is. Luxury watches are not going to be sold at 70 to 95% off. These low prices are made to draw your attention away from the quality and onto the fact that you will be saving a ton of money. Make sure you pay attention to quality so you don't get ripped off. Even if you save hundreds, you could save a lot more if you would have just went to the local store and skipped the middle man. When investing this much money into a watch, make sure you also invest the time to make sure it is a worth while investment.

Hope it Helped!

Yes, sometimes even Swiss made watch can have a fault. Fortunately you have bought this watch in February and it is still under warranty. Bring it back to the dealer you bought it from and ask to rectify the problem. They will do it at no cost to you.
Without dismantling the watch I can not say what exactly is wrong, but those things happen quite often. This is why the watchmakers trade still alive :))

Rate me, please.

I bought a Concord watch on October, 2008. I paid about $600 (including tax). It has never worked. I returned it to the place where I bought it (Lorilil Jewelers, Austing St, Forest Hills, NY 11375)...

I would get ahold of Concord derectly and send it to their service center, The people your giving it to probibly arn't doing that . Your watch has at LEAST a year warrenty, Deal with the company not a store. Look up Concord on the internet. If you still have a problem tell me I will do my best to help you. Good Luck!!
