Question about Pioneer DEH-P4000UB CD Player

The most common problem that you will encounter with the kIA is due to the fact that many models have a built in amplifier that is powered up by the factory deck. If your model does not have this option and the deck is properly connected, you should have no problem. First thing to do is get a small speaker that you can hook up directly to one of the pioneer outputs to confirm that there is audio, this will save a lot of time. If it plays, you should consider having the deck professionally installed, as the accessory circuit will be needed to wire in, and the low level inputs will have to be patched into your line level output through maybe an impedance matching dongle. The high level oututs cant be used as is because the amplifier circuit would be overloaded, you would have to utilize a signal level reducer/ground loop isolator dongle because the pioneer units are a floating ground output and would burn if connected to a grounded input. The amplifier unit is located in the back trunk, you could modify it from there to connect the deck output directly to the speakers if you look at the attached diagram, but that would be a waste of a good amplifier. If you're electronically savvy it can be done, or if you know someone who is , these diagrams will help you tie in the amplifier accessory to the remote turn on output of the pioneer deck and do the other mods. Ive done it before, but its not something I would be inclined to attempt to talk you through
