Question about Activa by Invicta Casual Brown Pearl Watch for Women

1 Answer

I have recently bought an Activa watch (white leatherette strap/white pearl face/roman numerals at the 12,3,6 & 9 position) at an antique shop. It was indicated to me that all it required was a new battery. I have replaced the 377 battery however the watch is still not working. It was an inexpensive purchase, but I do like this particular style. Any thoughts?

Hi knbaker59; If you already replaced the battery and still not working then it will stock the machine. Its needs to clean or overhaul the machine,so it will work again and if you already clean the machine and still not working then the problem is the circuit block need to replaced a new one. Hope it may help. Feel free to ask whatever the result.

If you are talking about the bezel, which is the bit on the outside of the watch, you should contact the Raymond Weil repair centre SWICO. They repaired my Othello when half the bezel fell off. They had it back to me in no time! Their details are on the Raymond Weil website:

Have a waltham pocket watch in an illinois case enameled dial with a recessed seconds dial at bottom with a numeric 6. seconds on face also. can't find year or pic of this watch

If you go to the web site "www.antique-pocket-watch.com/waltham-pocket-watch.html", you will find information about Waltham watches and if you read the serial number off the movement (open the back and read it off the back plate), you may be able to find out the year of manufacture.

Info/site for 90 year old Dreadnought watch

the strap is normally not "cloth", it should be thin gold bracelet type.
most of them i've seen are from around 1912-1930.
yours maybe similar to the one below, but it's difficult without seeing the watch.

Setting the darn thing

If you don't have the instruction manual you can go to this link and on the right side of the page you can type in the model number. (it will tell you where to locate the model number) I tried this for a Bulova from 1998 and it worked but I don't know how far it will go back but it's worth a try.

Cartier signature

The cartier logo forms the right hand part of the 'V' on the VII numeral on my watch.

Initally it just looks the same as the V numeral until you look very closely.
