i have the top and the bottom panels off but i do not see a temp sensor or a heating element all i see is a solenoid on the cold and hot water to let the water in, where do i look for this sensor and heating element?

Hello,

welcome to FixYa.

The place to begin would be indeed at the sensor, and then check the heating element and connections. In my experience though most times it is simply a wire has become loose or broken since these things vibrate so aggressively throughout a cycle.

**Unplug the unit from the wall before performing any service suggested here unless otherwise stated...some service requires voltage supply but safety first**

If you remove the access panel from your washer in the front, it is held in place by three torx head screws, size T20 you should find a tech sheet on the right hand wall...from front, or taped to the inside of the service/access panel you removed.

i.e.

i am getting an F05 code and then the machine - macmarkus_521.jpg
The heater and sensor are located at the front of the outer tub on most of the HE3 machines as shown below...the image here does not have a heater, but some do some don't ( if you can provide a complete model number I could speak to your machine specifically )

Once you've visually inspected the sensor and wires and heater ( if applicable) you'll need to verify the components themselves are good.

Let me know how you make out to this stage and I'll help you move forward from here if still necessary. Good luck.

Thank you for choosing FixYa today.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Kenmore Elite HE3t 11042922200 Front Loading. F02 drain Problem

We experienced the same thing. I was able to restart and locate the noise to the water pump. After disassembling the water pump found the impeller shaft sliding out. For some reason this shaft will not stay in place. Had to order a complete pump assembly as the electric motor is not available.

Kenmore elite washing machine spin cycle slow. The clothes are still dripping wet when removed from the washer.

In my HE3T, this was indicative of the water pump going out. In its 8th year, my HE3T is now on its 3rd water pump.

Kenmore Elite HE3t which F21 code

I'm guessing the HOSE is the drain hose.
The goop is causing the drain motor to overheat causing it to report error. (luckily or it'd burn out).
Give it a empty load with nothing in it to see if it flushes it all out.
Just water.
See if it completes full cycle and check pump filter again to see if clean.
TIP. Make sure you check ALL pockets before you wash clothes.

Kenmore Elite He3t front load washer - error code reads H & F

the F code is a puwer outige. This is how to fix
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select
DRAIN & SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call
for service.
This is what an HF code is.
"FH" (Water Inlet Problem--no water or insufficient water
supply)
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug
washer or disconnect power.
Check the following:
Are water faucets completely turned on?
Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer clogged?
Are water inlet hoses kinked?
Are water inlet hoses frozen?
Plug in washer or reconnect power. Re-select cycle and press
START. If the problem remains, call for service.

Kenmore elite washer problem

sounds as if you have a drain issue, most common cause of fault is theres something stuck in the pump housing. remove the lower acess panel(3 screws along the bottom of the forn of unit) youll gain acess to the pump housing, remove the large cover to the "button trap" by uncscrewimg the cover, it will be righthin front of you in the center of machine when cover removed, im sure youll find your blockage within there

Here's a link that explains the "FH" error code:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615354-fh_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

Read through these steps and let me know if you require further assistance. HINT: I'm assuming you have water entering the wash tub since you mentioned the washer will begin a wash cycle. Check for a siphoning issue or Drain Pump problem first. These are the simplest items to check. I hope this helps you.

PS There should be a tech sheet located inside you washer behind the lower panel under the door, or along the interior cabinet wall that explains all the error codes and how to troubleshoot. This may also assist you further.
