SOURCE: My printer has suddenly started printing terrible quality photos

I discovered I had switched photo paper in the process. The new paper obviously isn't compatible with this printer. I went and purchased more of my regular paper and the pictures began printing well again.

SOURCE: Norton keeps taking away my

Norton is corrupted and you must get rid of it immediately before it messes even more. To do that you must use the official removal tool.  After that you should install another antivirus.
For start i must tell you that from now on you should ALWAYS use the Save option , not the Run one, when downloading something from the internet. When you use the Save option a new window will open allowing you to select where the file (or whatever) should be downloaded on your pc; in here ALWAYS use a different location than the desktop, My Documents, Programs or Windows folders - if necessary create a new folder just for that.
Download the removal tool from here
Then download a new antivirus from here
after both downloads are over close all windows except the one with the folder with the downloaded files. Launch the removal tool, wait for it to finish, reboot yourself one more time and launch the installer for the new antivirus. When it's over perform a full scan to be sure your system is clean.
That should fix it.

You need to do setting in Driver Properties printing preferences in advanced tab, select computer memory if printer runs out of memory, if it configured on the network then set properties on computer where driver is installed.

Memory low

When getting the error message Low Memory, this means one of two things. Either the print job that you are sending to the printer is to big, or the fuser in the printer is to hot, and needs to cool down. I would not recommend printing in raster mode, as this can cause further issues within the software. A couple of steps that you could try are:

1. If there are previous print jobs in the queue wait until they are completed
2. Power down the printer for a minimum of 30 seconds
3. If you are printing a large amount of pages, break it down into smaller jobs
4. If printing documents, change the setting to either fast draft, or draft mode

Message saying "received in memory", what does it mean and how do I get rid of it?

It means there are pending documents in the memory of the printer awaiting to be printed. This documents could be a received fax documents or a documents failed to send.

Just press the menu button to enter fax setting: under it the appears "receive mode set"...... use the right arrow button to go to "memory referrence" then click OK button.

Use again the arrow buttons to delete documents in memory.

One line at top of page it's not what I was wanting to print. Reads like 199v-?=l?n.)?= and so on any help

Stuff like this happens sometimes when you have a bad connection or if the print job is interrupted in the middle by the user cancelling it or a problem on the pc. I would check the cable to make sure that it is securely plugged in and retry it. You didn't say if this problem was recurring or not. If not, just try printing again. Let us know if this happens consistently. Good luck!

I cannot interrupt a printing job and then have it stay interrupted,it just resumes printing after turning off for 20 seconds

You need to clear the print queue. To do that, click on start. Then click on control panel. Once the control panel opens, search for printers and faxes. Double click on it. You will see the name of your printer. Double click on it. In the bod that opens, you will see your document. Right click on the document that you want to stop printing. you will get an option to delete. click on it. It may take a few seconds to get it deleted. Once this is done. It will not print. No need to switch the printer off and turn it back on.

Have a E Machine T3504 desktop. When trying to print from an embroidery software it takes forever for it to print. Sometimes have to restart computer. Any ideas?

You might want to check the memory on your printer, since it your printer has a low memory then it could take forever to print. I would check the setting for the printer and see if the box labeled start printing after last page is spooled, becuase then the printer will wait for the entire document, you want to change that to start printing immediately and make sure spool print documents is cheecked.

WordPerfect Printing Problems with HP Photosmart C5550

It's not the program, but the actual printer.

You see, when you print with an inkjet, the information is fed line-by-line through the CPU for processing. The larger the document in size, the longer it takes.

Switch to a color laser printer. They're about 150 dollars. It has an onboard memory and a CPU for processing. Speed wise is about 500% faster. Since it has it's own onboard computer basically, it doesn't need to interrupt the CPU to compute the information and send it to the printer. Laser printers are also known as page printers because they can store pages of information in their own memory.
