Question about Samsung Digimax S600 / Kenox S600 / Cyber 630 Black Digital Camera

Open Question

When I press the power on button, the green light goes on for about half a second and then turns off again. I can't use the photocamera because of this. I have tried replacing the batteries and using a cable to connect it to my computer but none of that has worked. The camera is a Samsung Digimax Cyber630

SOURCE: camera wont turn on...gives beep sounds and green light glows when pressing power button

Does the lens extend in either of these cases? If there has been some malfunction in the lens and it fails to extend the situation can cause the camera to power-off in order to protect itself. Some cameras show error messages before powering off, others do not. Hold the camera up to your ear and turn the power on. Is there a series of mechanical sounds before the beeps? Hearing sounds but not seeing the lens extend indicates some sort of failure in the lens assembly. If you hear nothing then the problem most likely lies elsewhere, possibly a failed electronic component or something as simple as a loose connection. Check with your manufacturer for any recalls or technical bulletins, and see if they will service your camera under warranty. If not there are a number of repair facilitys available on the internet who generally have better rates than out-of-warranty service at the factory. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

SOURCE: my samsung digimax s800 won't turn on,the batterys are ok

the lens mechanism is not initialising, the cogs that move the lens are out of alignment slightly. you colud try and fix this yourself by taking the camera apart and realigning it manually, or sometimes you can get hold of the prodtruding lens and gently pull, be carefull !! you might hear a grinding noise as you pull this is just the main lens cog turning. once fully out put batterys back in and give it a go

SOURCE: Camera will not turn on sucessfully. Says "Turn Off and On Again"

This is not an elegant solution, but it seems to be working. (I might have read some one else mentioning it for another brand of Samsung camera). I hit the end of the camera where the attachment to the computer gets plugged in against the palm of my hand pretty hard about 6 times. Then I tried it and it worked! There is some logic there since it started having the problem right after I put it down on a soft surface from about three feet.(Ididn't really drop it, but tossed it there - gently, I thought - because my hands were full and I was starting to lose everything). In the future I will treat the camera a little more gently knowing that mechanism is somewhat easily knocked out of adjustment.

SOURCE: Samsung Digimax A63 plays dead

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

No sign of life from the display half but the bottom reads life.

Hi,

If you have already checked the connections from the screen to the PC, check that you have a power light on the screen. (Green or Amber). If no light, check power to screen. If it is amber, then the screen is not getting a signal from the PC - recheck connections. I would suggest you try and connect the pc to a different monitor to check whether it is the screen or the PC.

If it is the same on another Monitor or if the power button is green on the screen, then the pc is not sending information properly. Turn the pc off manually by holding the power button on the bottom half for about 10 seconds. All lights should go off from it. Now turn it back on again and see what happens.

If you see loading windows and then goes black, do the following:

Turn off the pc (bottom half). Turn back on and as soon as you pressed the button to turn on, start tapping the F8 key until you come to "Windows Advanced options" screen. use the arrow keys and go to Enable VGA mode. Press the return key twice. If it loads to windows, then fine. If not, then you may have a problem with the display adapter.

Hope that helps

Our CAL232 TV will not turn on. When pressing the power button, you can see a red light and a green light, but the screen doesn't start up as normal. The TV then tries again after about 20 seconds, but...

Hello,

My LOEWE CAL 232 will not power up. When the power button is pressed, the monitor turns on, with the LOEWE on the monitor, then the TV continues with the previous activity (antenna, DVD, VCR etc.). Now all that happens is

1. the red light comes on

2.after about 1 second the green light turns on for about 12 seconds

3. the the green light turns off for about 1 second

4. then the green light turns on again for about 12 seconds

and this continues until the power button is pressed to turn the TV off. During this time, the monitor does not turn on and the only sound I hear seems to eminate from the power button.

Any thoughts?

I have no power, i called a repair man, he said unplug it then push the reset button...i get a blinking green light for a few seconds...now what?

The set if it has a DM unit when unplugged should blink for 70 seconds and allow you to turn on.

If it does not, if when you try to turn on green light comes on and goes off---do the self check:

Press and hold both the menu and input buttons for 5 seconds and release both; power light should blink a two digit error code at least 5 times. 2 blinks, pause and 2 blinks is the most common.

If the set has a reset button on the front it has a DM unit---built in receiver--even if it fails the green power light will blink nonstop.

Again, if you try to turn on and green power light comes on and then goes off---do the self check and let me know what you find.

If this information was helpful rate this solution as "very helpful" as I do this here for free.

Also let me know what you do or do not find as I am here to help you.
