Alright so I want to know how to replace the rear main seal on my 94 gmc sierra 1500 5.7l pickup

if it is a one piece lip seal , the transmission has to come out and the flywheel/ flex plate removed
if it is a two piece seal fitted in the rear main bearing cap the box is out as well as the sump and probably the crank as well
get a workshop manual for the job
you will know what has to be done when you buy the seal

How. To change Rear main seal

remove gear box and flywheel for starters if the rear seal is in a case then remove that case and fit new seal. If it is a lip seal the remove the old seal and check the crank shaft for a groove. IT is grooved use a "speedie" sleeve ( trade mark name) from a bearing /seal supplier and then fit the new seal using a quality seal fitting tool.

If the rear main seal is the old two piece seal/ felt seal then you will have to virtually remove the crank to do the job properly.

Red 6 holden motor

you could if both engines have the same rear main seal, there was rope and neopreen rear main seals in blue motors
also would need to use same bearings as whats in the blue motor
marking on main bearings on the back eg STD, 010, 020
thats so you know what new main bearings you should then get & use, as well as the 2 thrust bearing peices
you should then check all clearance specs as you assemble crank into block with plasi gauge and your feeler gauges or the thrust bearings

Is it possible to take the bearings and seals out from pulley side of this crosley washer?

no it is not possible. The bearing is part of the rear outer tub. In order to replace it you must take out the whole tub assemble and disassemble it that way. Also be aware that these bearing often go when the inner tub assembly has cracked on its rear mounting bracket so you may be looking at replacing both pieces instead of just one.

The pedals on my Nordic Track SL700 turn completely free. I think I need to replace the crank assembly but cannot seem to get into it. Is this bike worth the price of a new crank assembly part?

Dear Sir:

Please do the following:

Use aflat screwdriver to unseat the tabs that hold the front top cover in place. This will expose the flywheel and pedal arm connection points. Rotate theflywheel by hand and determine whether lubrication will accomplish the repairs. If the bearings are exposed, use a grease gun with an extension nozzle and lubricateboth bearings with lithium grease. If the bearings are damaged or sealed, proceed to the next step.2
Removethe front and side covers on the main frame. Hold the flywheel with one handand use a box wrench to loosen the bolts that secure the pedal arms at eachside of the flywheel. Pull the arms away from the flywheel and remove thebearings from each side.3
Test thebearings as before. Lubricate exposed bearings with lithium grease andreinstall them. Sealed bearings must be replaced. Reattach the pedal arms tothe flywheel. Replace the main frame covers and front top cover to complete therepairs.sincerely. God bless you.

How too replace connecting rod on a ttr 125l. I have a 2001 ttr 125 with a seized conn big bearing. and I would like to know the proper way of splitting the crank too replace it

The top end comes off then the left and right side covers, flywheel, clutch and shift shaft. Now a case splitter is used to split the center case halves. To replace the bearing you will need a hydraulic press to disassemble and reassemble the crank halves. If the bearing is seized you should replace the bearing, crank pin and the connecting rod. The crank must be realigned using twin dial gages. Personally, I suggest a new crank assembly be purchased from www.babbittsonline.com ( $241 ). I would replace the crank end bearings at the same time and also the sprocket shaft outer bearing and seal. Please rate my answer.

I need to replace the bearings on lg wm2277

The metal covering piece is probably the outer seal for the front bearing--you remove both by driving the bearing out with a long metal rod (or a long punch) that reaches all the way through from the back (you have removed the inner drum and end shaft first). Tap fairly gently on the rod with a hammer and move the bearing end to another location after a few taps. The seal should pop out first, with the bearing next. Once out, look for a number on the bearing edge--it should match the replacement. Inspect the surface where the seal mates with the shaft--it should be pit and wear free. If it is not, a local machine shop should be able to repair that surface (and cheaper than a new inner drum assembly). It is essential that this surface be perfect as it keeps water out of the bearing behind it. The seal can be reused if it still fits fairly tightly on the shaft and that it was not damaged during the removal process. Check with a local bearing supply house to get a replacement bearing. The new bearing will have been greased at the factory, but you need to grease the shaft and inner seal lip with waterproof grease before installing the seal. Don't strike the inner part of the new bearing, only along the outer edge when tapping it back into the housing. Same with the seal. The far end bearing will likely be good and not need to be replaced--slowly turn the inside part and feel for any roughness which would indicate the need for replacement. If so, it gets tapped out from the front side in a similar manner as the front removal. Good luck!!

360 ci Dodge Rear Main Bearing Seal Replacement

Yes ,regardless of which seal is used as you have to loosen main bearings so the crank can be moved down as the seals are crush type and you wont have the clearance to fit the new one,Split seals (2 piece)are the easiest to fit without moving the crank too much. The one piece seal also means trans removal. As far as removing trans completely you may be able to move it back while its being held up by a trolley jack and only pull it back far enough to give you the clearance needed.Autos are far easier than manuals. If its the rope type seal a special tool is used to fit them and its not a tool that is sold just anywhere as that type of seal kept noahs ark from sinking and havnt been used in engines for many many years.

Crank shaft movement

did you check the pulley on the crank shaft ??
is it warped ?? ( bent )
because i do not think that the truck will run with the crankshaft moving.....back and forth.
so in any case you have a lot of work to do.
here is how to remove the crank shaft.
REMOVAL
  1. Remove the oil pan.
  2. Remove the oil pump from the rear main bearing cap.
  3. Remove the vibration damper.
  4. Remove the timing chain cover.
  5. Identify bearing caps before removal. Remove bearing caps and bearings one at a time.
  6. Lift the crankshaft out of the block.
  7. Remove and discard the crankshaft rear oil seals.
  8. Remove and discard the front crankshaft oil seal.
INSTALLATION
  1. Lightly oil the new upper seal lips with engine oil.
  2. Install the new upper rear bearing oil seal with the white paint facing towards the rear of the engine.
  3. Position the crankshaft into the cylinder block.
  4. Lightly oil the new lower seal lips with engine oil.
  5. Install the new lower rear bearing oil seal into the bearing cap with the white paint facing towards the rear of the engine.
    1. Apply 5 mm (0.20 inch) drop of Loctite 518, or equivalent, on each side of the rear main bearing cap. DO NOT over apply sealant or allow the sealant to contact the rubber seal. Assemble bearing cap to cylinder block immediately after sealant application.
    2. lb align the bearing cap, use cap slot, alignment dowel and cap bolts. DO NOT remove excess material after assembly. DO NOT strike rear cap more than 2 times for proper engagement.
    3. Clean and oil all cap bolts. Install all main bearing caps. Install all cap bolts and alternately tighten to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.) torque.
    4. Install oil pump.
    5. Install the timing chain cover.
    6. Install the vibration damper.
      1. Apply Mopar Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant, or equivalent, at bearing cap to block joint to provide cap to block and oil pan sealing. Apply enough sealant until a small amount is squeezed out. Withdraw nozzle and wipe excess sealant off the oil pan seal groove.
      2. Install new front crankshaft oil seal.
      3. Immediately install the oil Dan.
if you have an email address i can send some images
