Question about Plantronics Explorer 232 Bluetooth Headset

1 Answer

The headset died during conversation. As the title suggests I was using the headset w my phone when there was a "peep" (as when starting or shutting down the device) and it shut down. I haven't been able to start it since. While charging it there is s red diod lit up for about 15 mins and then nothing. I have charged it for a night and no change. Note that no matter what the red diod will lit up every time I plug in the charger. Is there a solution or trash it? This has already happened twice (first time the shop exchanged the headset for a new one free of charge, this time they think I do black magic on the headset and tell me its my own fault. :-( )

The Plantronics Explorer 232 headset is an older model, it may just be worn out. The Plantronics M20 would be a good replacement to look at, here is the link:

I am using my plantronic explorer 240 with my sony ecrisson vivaz mobile phone The sound is clear and people can hear me clearly too. However, my headset creates beep sound regularly when i am talking on...

If you are saying that it is the battery telling you that it is half when you start to hear the beeping, that may very well be the case. If it is the battery, you may need to keep it fully charged. The only other thing I know is that It will beep if you get too far away from the cell phone. Usually people put the cell phone on the same side as the headset. That way you are never out of range.

One short beep during shutdown sequence

a short beep normally indicates that your phones network signal is low or absent, so you are aware that you are in a low signal area without looking at your phone, or two short peeps normally means the headset needs charging.
