The manual shows pg 11 figure 12-1 an Emergency Button Location and under the picture a sentence that states, "If you didn't receive or mis-place your remote transmitter, you can press the emergency button by a pitch rod to operateremote automatically on or off (see fig 12-2). I would like to know exactly how and what that means by someone who has used this Pro Com stove.

Will the stove fire automatically by pressing this "button" in or will we have to light it manually. We have another stove that looks just like this but it lights with a Piezo located on the side so this one that we just got but without the remote is confusing.

If the control board (the one that controls the gas valves and the fan, itself controlled bi the thermocouple) or the remote, LCD and buttons board is missing then you cannot use the heater at all. You must obtain a new board.
If you are referring to the remote then there is an emergency operation button on the front of the case - the second one from the left - press it to start and stop the heater at the maximum parameters.

Just press the button and the heater will start. The side button is the main power on/off button.

No, there isn't. Interface problems, it happens, just leave this question as is and it will close by itself if you don't post any new comments.

above is your manual download site, it's about 1/4 way down on R/H column.

Hi, I'm not sure you can? I think, you do need it? If you don't have the "Remote Control Board" fitted, I think you have to have the "Manual board" fitted? usually this is just an igniter, and flow controller, and safety sensors etc.
Have a look through the manual, and check.
Of course of it can be manually turned on & off, and the gas flows and all safeties are all ON active & OK, then a lit taper, or BBQ lighter may just ignite it.

I have a Waterford gas log stove. The pilot light is on and working. The stove won't turn on either when it's called on by the thermostat or when I switch the stove to "on".

You have a bad thermostat is what sounds like when you turn it on yourself there is a electric valve that opens to make work and it is not getting the signal or you have something in the line feeding it.

Most likely, you need to "bleed the line". The new propane needs to travel to your fireplace, but you have a huge air pocket in there now since it ran dry. It takes forever for the air to "bleed" out through the tiny orifice of a pilot light, especially if the distance from the fireplace to the tank is far.

Clean the jet of the gas supply. Clean off the pilot light jet. Clean the tips of the igniter. Carefully clean all of those things with a little rubbing alcohol. Make sure the pilot jet is not clogged!

your pilot assy is clogged, disassemble the pilot assy completely and inspect the orifice. there should be a tiny pinhole in the end of the orifice, clean well with small wire brush and reassemble, don't forget to clean the thermocouple while you have the assy out.
