The seal at the bottom of the tank is leaking. Usually the call this a flapper. Take the top off the tank and look directly to the bottom of the tank in the center. Flush the stool and you will see the flapper rise and then fall. You probably need to replace the flapper. To do this just turn the water off to the stool, flush it to get all the water out of the tank, reach your hand in the tank and disconnect the flapper and now you can take it to most hardware stores and get another one.

When I flush the water goes down but does not take the paper with it... Help!!! Called sani plus company and they don't know!!!

If the paper isn't flushing, that means it's got too much drag to be carried down with the water. You've got a few options here:

1) Use lower ply paper, as it will be easier to flush
2) Use less paper, or flush after each wipe
3) Improve your toilet to a high rate-of-flow toilet

Whine or squealing from tank when Kohler Santa Rosa toilet is flushed.

Sounds like an air lock is making the water fill in squeeze thru the piping. C if u can undo the piping from the tap below the tank and take out tank and try flushing the unit thru from the out side fill pipe. U may hv something stuck in the pipe line. cheers

Toilet backs up after use. even when holding tank is empty. we only use fresh water to flush from shower nozzle. toilet is fairly new replaced by original owner.

The system does not work, as you describe, you MUST use the unit's pump lever as the intake and removal are part of it's function. Use sea water to flush, the system is designed for that.

We have a saniflo compact the toilet will flush 3 out of 5 times and the motor sounds fine but the other times when flushed it will sound like it is trying to flush and then just turns off at the end of...

This could be a problem with the capacitor that has gone bad or something stuck on the blade or impeller and is not allowing the waste to be pumped out. Typically when the capacitor has seized up or there is a clog on the drain pipe, blade or impeller; the unit will just hum and not pump the waste out and eventually back up on the toilet and overflow.
