Most of this manufatcturers spas have a 3/4" drain valve tucked in between the control pak and the pump. If your does not have this, a sump pump connected to a hose is the best , fastest way to drain a spa. My favorite king is "little giant" which is sold at any lowes or home depot if your in america. If not, any local hardware store should stock these. Cost in USA is about $35

I have a qca jewel spa the heater only runs when one or both of the pumps are running ? Any suggestions thanks

I would assume this is by design. If water were not flowing through the heater it would constantly cycle and mineral deposit would accumulate on the heating elements much faster and shorten their lifespan.

How do you winterize a hot tub? QCA Jewel Model SUV M7

this is taken right from a jewel series QCA hot tub manual.....Winterizing
In very cold weather you may not want to venture outside to use your spa. In this case, you may move it to a heated area, or leave it as is until the weather warms. If you do leave the spa unused for a long period of time in severely cold weather, you should winterize the spa to avoid accidental freezing due to a power or equipment failure.. Follow these easy steps: Turn power to the spa OFF. Drain the spa. Use a wet vac to **** or blow out the air injectors, water jets and water suction fittings. Add 1-3 gallons of RV antifreeze, depending on the size of the spa, to all the air injectors, water jets, suction drains, and filter. Caution: Any lines not receiving adequate antifreeze are subject to freeze damage!

My jets on my topaz II won't shut off

maybe your filtration cycle is set to high.
check with your instruction manual on how to bring filtration cycle up and if showing FIL 8 or Fil C then this is the reason.
Is the spa up to temp? if not then spa is running all the time to try and heat.....
if not then may have a circuit board error or top side controller

This is an old hot tub qca jewel spa that runs all the time

your ozonator may have condensation water in it, try unplugging it and using a hairdryer to dry it out, otherwise you will need a replacement ozonator (i know where to get these at dealer cost if you need one). When replacing ozonator, make sure you request the correct plug type depending on if you have the white plugs or gray plugs that plug into either the side of your spa pack or the circuit board.
Good job on isolating the problem by unplugging each component when a circuit breaker trips. Next, your filter cycle is most likely set on constant filtration, you will need to reset it to 2-4 hours per 12 hour cycle. Don't put it in standby, leave it run in standard mode. Hope this helps,

I have a qca jewel plus spa and the diagnostic reads fl for a flow switch detection. what does this exactly mean and where can i find the bad part, plus how do i fix this

you should be able to locate the pressure switch near the pump, most likely on the discharge side. Before you replace the flow switch, make sure your filters are clean and there is not an air lock on the system. The flow switch is fairly easy to replace. You'll probably have to drain the spa unless you have blade valves to isolate the equipment. With the supply power off, you can remove the front panel on the spa pack and find where the flow switch is and disconnect it. You can then replace the flow switch. Make sure the new switch directional arrow is facing the right direction so it will read flow properly.
