In order to further assist you, I will need to know the Year, Make and Model of the Laptop you are trying to remove the battery from.

The following goes for many Panasonic Laptops:

  1. The battery pack is located on the underside of the laptop.
  2. Slide or press the laptop battery locking mechanism to release the battery.
  3. Once released, the battery can either be slid or lifted for removal.

How do I change the battry in a toshiba tecra laptop

Most laptops of external (replacable) batteries. However, if this is not true for your laptop, the battery is located inside and it is best to have a computer expert remove and replace the battery as any and all warranties valid on the laptop may be void if you attempt this yourself. There should be an indicator on the bottom of the unit with words to this affect. If the battery IS external, look to see if there are two "clips" that slide back and forth on each end of the battery. You'll know them when you see them. These "lock" the battery in place once the battery is inserted and usually automatically lock when battery is inserted. Hold each one in the indicated "unlock" position and pull out on the battery. These should not need to be "held" in the unlock position, and should stay on on their own once moved. Pull battery out and insert new battery if applicable. Please let me know if this was helpful, and contact me if further assistance is requested. Thank you.

My vgn-fs742/w laptop is not powering up

Can you charge it ?
If Yes, you might have run out your battery, please charge it for at least 5 minutes, then try again to powering up.
If not, have you try to pull out your laptop battery and then plug the charger to your laptop then hit the power button ? is that laptop can boot up ?

if Yes, you might need to replace your battery
If Not, you can bring that laptop to service center :D

In some case, if after pull out baterry and laptop can boot up using power adapter direclty, you can put it back the battery to the laptop and the laptop will turn on normaly

I have this laptop and I had to buy a new ac power adapter as my other one died Now my laptop says the battery is full but when I pull out the power cable it does What can I do to fix this

You did not specify what happens when you pull out the power cable? The laptop turns off? IF yes then the battery is past its maximum recharge cycles. You will need to get a new battery to resolve this problem.

How do you switch off the computer................have pulled out the power connector and cut off the power button but there is still a light flashing and the battery will go low.

Hi Thanks for your question.

I suggest you can try and take the battery out from your laptop. This is easily done by moving two sliding catches and pulling battery out. Battery is located on the bottom part of laptop near the screen. Good Luck and please don't hesitate to ask more questions if this is needed.

How do i reset bios settings on my hp nx9000(forgotten password)!password requested on booting.cannot see a cmos battery on the motherboard is there a simple way to do this such as jumpers or shorting out...

There is always a CMOS battery. If you have pulled your entire laptop apart, it should be there somewhere. 99% of the time, the CMOS jumpers are next to the battery and the battery is on the motherboard. Some laptops let you get away with just simply opening a cover, but in most cases, you will need to pull the entire laptop apart.

My Dell C620 cmos battery is dead. Where do I find it on the board? I know my way around the inside of laptops and pc's and would like to know where to start taking this doorstop apart at

hi,
welcome to fixya.com,all u need to do is to open the cover of the laptop but make sure before that the laptop is turned off completely and then unscrew the case of the laptop from the bottom of the laptop open all he screws on the four corners and then take the cover out or open the keyboard first from the front of the laptop and then disconnect the keyboard cable from the moterboard and over there u can see the cmos battery like a roun shape all u need to do is just pull it up.

If you're computer is using a coin cell battery similar to the above example picture. Removing the battery is relatively simple. Simply use your fingers to grab on the edge of the battery and pull it up and out of the container holding it. Some motherboards have a clip holding the battery down. If your computer has this clip you may need to use one had to move the clip up and the other hand to pull the battery out.

And if it really helpful pls rate this solution
