Hi A garden shredder functions like a mulch machine, shredding your plant parts into small pieces. You can then use this mix as nutrient-rich natural plant food and it can be added to compost heaps or planting soil. Unfortunately, you won't find it helpful without instructions that teach you how to properly use a garden shredder. Press the power switch to start the garden shredder. Wait while the shredder reaches its full speed before you start to add the plant material. Push your plant waste into the inlet feed chute on the top of the shredder, in small handfuls at a time. Use the push stick to help push the material down toward the cutting blades. Add shredded material to a compost heap or directly to your planting soil as desired. Press the power switch to the "Off" position and unplug the unit when finished.
However this is a general instruction to start the machine. First spread out the tarp and place the shredder unit on the tarp. This will help catch the shredded material when it comes out of the bottom of the unit. Make sure you choose a level spot to avoid accidental tipping when operating the machine.
